This spacious architecturally designed, purpose built accommodation is filled with original art, designer furniture, hand selected vintage wares and carefully picked items to ensure you love every moment of your stay. It's like sleeping in a gallery. In Stirling, meters from the action, down a quiet lane, under oak trees. Lounge around & take in the hills views, dine in the spacious private courtyard, swim in the lap pool (in summer) & relax in the spa, (sBookings essential) After your swim, freshen up and walk to one of the many eateries and pubs in the area. Take a short trip to the city, the Fleurieu Peninsula & famous SA coast, or enjoy local Hills cellar doors, bush walking, open gardens, wildlife parks, historic Hahndorf, mountain bike trails…etc or don’t go any where and bliss out in what we hope you find to be the perfect space. This unique place is the love child of Lucent, custom builders and Worth Gallery. We believe in conscious design, quality, beauty and the perfect get away. We have built this accomodation to provide all year round comfort in South Australia's extreme seasons. With double glazed windows and doors and careful orientation, passive solar design and thermal mass... This building is sustainable and facilitates absolute comfort. The Snug is a spacious studio apartment with open plan living room. There is a King bed and a couch that opens up to be a king or twin beds. Dine or just relax in the leafy courtyard under the stunning old oak tree. This space has a fully equipt kitchen with full size fridge, oven dishwasher, BBQ, indoor and outdoor dining. The suite is fitted out with a flat screen TV and Reverse cycle air conditioning. There is a stunning outlook from the courtyard or inside. The Snug is a light filled space but we also fitted block out curtains and blinds so you can sleep in. The space can be rented on its own or for a larger group it can be rented with the adjoining accommodation, Lucent pool room and The Tree House. Each different space is completely private. The whole facility can accommodate 14 guests. Everything you need is here and you won’t need to go far so come and simply escape, soak up the art and surrounding beauty. A collection of publication on some of South Australia’s most recognized artists can be found in each apartment. One of the best ways to appreciate art is to immerse yourself in it. Experiencing pieces again and again throughout your stay – when you’re in a different mood, when the lighting has changed and from various angles – this furthers your understanding, appreciation and interpretation of art. If art is your thing the works are available and range in size, price and medium. On display you will see paintings, phototgraphy, bonze sculpture, ceramic sculpture and glass art, locally made furniture, garden sculpture and tableware. If you are interested in seeing more art work studio visits can be arranged and we are also happy to help tailor your stay to take in other areas of artisan interest, like our local chocolatier, brewery, distillery or perhaps just where to find good bread or wild kangaroos !! Guests have full access to the accomodation and surrounding garden. The pool is a shared space but you have access. We live next door to the property so we are never very far away, however all the spaces are very private and we are not in your face hosts. If you can drag yourself away form the blissful pool or picturesque garden you can explore further into the Adelaide Hills. Stirling boasts some of the most beautiful gardens and eateries in SA. We are just across the road from the monthly markets, popular cafes including The Organic Market, Miss Perez and the popular Stirling Hotel. Close by is the Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens. Busses also go further into the hills to beautiful neighboring towns like Hahndorf. We are surrounded by world famous Adelaide Hills wineries, including Hill Smith and Deviation Road Winery. We are situated walking distance form the stunning Woorabinda Lake, part of Woorabinda Bushland Reserves – a 34-hectare park with approximately 4 km of walking trails. The list goes on with an award winning Chocolatiers, micro brewery's, gin distilleries and wildlife parks, sculpture trail.... Our location is a big plus with the main street just down the road. We are close to public transport and there are frequent busses to the city. Getting here is easy by car or bus, we are 20 minutes from the CBD. There are several scenic routes you can take. There is the South Eastern freeway which is the quickest and is still very scenic. Other routes include Greenhill Road which goes past Cleland Wildlife Park and Mount Lofty where there is a stunning look out that takes in almost 360 views of Adelaide to the coast. This point is 710 meters above sea level so it is a breathtaking view on a clear day. A taxi or Uber from the city will cost between$30-$40. Or we can arrange a driver for you.
