Gascon 'Gite du Guit'
Delightfully peaceful and secluded, located amongst the vineyards. Its name 'Guit' is the Gascon word for duck. This stunning gite is a renovated wing of a wine barn, attached to a Maison de Maitre. 12m x 6m pool, shared with the owners who live in the main house Close to charming village Gite du Guit is a stunning, newly renovated and extended home. The original beams have been exposed within a charming yet modern L-shaped open plan living space. The fully equipped kitchen and eating area offers wonderful entertaining opportunities. The interior design is contemporary with a Shabby Chic/Scandi influence. There are two comfortable bedrooms; one is ensuite, the other is a smaller bunk room with a shower room next to it. The beds are all of the highest quality, with new Egyptian cotton linen and towels provided. Twin beds can be offered in the main double bedroom instead of the Kingsized double, if required. The entrance is on the opposite side of the property to the main house, so the gite is private and self-contained. There is wifi throughout and the wood burning stove keeps the place very warm! There is a small library of books and games inside the gite and you may make use of a table tennis table, rope swing, bicycles, badminton set and football net, as well as the 12m x 6m pool. The wooden table and chairs right outside the front door has lovely open views across the fields and vineyards up to a small chateau. There is also a BBQ, shielded from the sun by 250 year-old oak trees, for your private use next to the gite. Maison du Guit and its attached Gite du Guit have an enviable position in a peaceful valley, 2km from Viella. The grounds (parkland, pool and small orchard) amount to almost 2 hectares and are surrounded by vineyards. The nearest neighbours cannot be seen or heard from the property.
