Coach house in the heart of St Catherine valley

Nestled alongside a working farm, with South facing views onto the St Catherine valley, the recently refurbished Coach house of Old Nailey offers access to stunning, rolling countryside, the village pubs and amenities of Marshfield and a base to explore the culture and entertainment of both Bath and Bristol. Come down the track and feel yourself unwind! Miles of footpaths on your door step, including the Limestone Link which trails from Gloucestershire to the Mendip Hills of Somerset. 3 very friendly resident donkeys who would be very happy to trek with you, should you wish! No cars, lots of stars and owls. You are welcome to share our large garden, during your stay, with it’s far reaching views down the valley. There is a big BBQ and pizza oven, which you could book out (or add delicious things to if I have them fired up already)! There is also a trampoline, football goal, slackline as often used by our 3 kids (now teenagers). We have 2 dogs - both very friendly but can give a noisy welcome..! Marshfield, which was established in medieval times as a border village between Wessex and Mercia, has a long, pretty High St of primarily Georgian houses. Is located 1.5 miles away (1/2 mile of that is our farm track). Marshfield has two country stores, a fantastic butcher, lovey tea shop (Sweetapples) and two cracking pubs, the Catherine Wheel and the Lord Nelson. Bath and Bristol with all that they offer (too much to list!!!) are both 20-25 minute drive or taxi away. Bath also makes a great bicycle destination, down through the valley and along the canal...! You are best off getting to us by car (the farm track is 1/2 mile) - but you could travel by taxi from Chippenham station. A great place to bring a bike (if you don’t mind a hill). We have a couple of mountain bikes that you could borrow if you would like. Update! It might not be full warp speed but we have upgraded the WiFi to a workable c. 20Mps - so now possible to stream. Alternatively you might want to ignore a screen and trek to an actual stream!
