Whether you’re taking the kids for a stroll along the river, sightseeing in Oxford or celebrating, this boutique farmhouse is the ideal place to enjoy Oxfordshire at its best. Sometimes our guests love to explore the surrounding area (and we are happy to suggest things to do!) while others simply love to walk, read and enjoy quality time in nature. You’ll have a fully equipped kitchen complete with stove, toaster, utensils, cups and more - perfect for self-catering with your favourite meal amongst friends. (Or preparing packed lunches for your walk!) As the day comes to an end, gaze out through the large picturesque windows and watch the fields illuminated by the lavender and magenta hues of the sunset. Then, curl up beneath Egyptian cotton bedding and fall asleep to the peaceful silence of the countryside. This is a large property in a peaceful tranquil location. Nearest town is Abingdon 2 miles away with a selection pubs. There is also 5 pubs in 2 nearby villages. There is 2 lounges (one with large flat screen TV (SKY available)), one conservatory, dining room, laundry room. The property has free wifi. 9 bedrooms. 9 king-size doubles, 1 single & bunk beds. Additional single beds and temporary beds are in the family size double rooms. All beds have Egyptian cotton serviced bedding. The property has full central heating and 2 open fires/ 1 wood burner to keep you cosy on cooler evenings. There are 3.5 bathrooms and a downstairs WC also. We have a full utility and we provide all the basics you will need for your holiday - washing powder, dishwasher tablets, soap, ice etc... there is a large freestanding fridge and freezer. You can get shopping delivered to the address by a variety of well known supermarkets. The dining table seats 16 .We have all crockery and cutlery you will need . The conservatory is a haven for bird lovers. It has lovely views and over looks the gardens and pool / hot tub area. The pool/ hot tub area has glorious views overlooking the beautiful landscape with horses in the field and red kites flying frequently overhead. There is a gas BBQ, traditional bbq and a chimney for testing marshmallows. Guests can enjoy the heated swimming pool and cooking on the outdoor wood burning Pizza oven all year round. Parties are not permitted You’ll have the entire farmhouse to yourself - for a comfortable and private stay. There’s plenty of parking available on the estate. While you’re relaxing, the kids can run off some steam in the outdoor play area. There’s a trampoline, a slide, a swing set, and a 3-acre garden for guests to enjoy garden games of their choice. The property has a heated swimming pool and luxurious hot tubs for you to enjoy all year round! For an easy and convenient check-in, you can enter whenever you arrive via the key in the lockbox. The peaceful atmosphere will make you feel like you’re miles from anywhere, yet you’re still close to regular trains into Oxford and London Paddington. Wander out the back of the property and you’ll find yourself on the River Thames. If you take a stroll along the Thames path for 20 minutes, you’ll find yourself in Abingdon-on-Thames. It’s a lovely little historic market town and civil parish and a charming place to discover. A little bit further in the other direction (8.5 miles to be precise), you’ll reach Oxford. From the Ashmolean Museum to the Bodleian Library to punting on the river, there’s so much to see and enjoy. Rural location, car essential.
