You will need an Oyster Card to travel around London. It is a pre-pay card and you top it up with extra money when you need. It is the cheapest way to travel around London. You can buy it at any airport train station when you arrive. It costs £5 for the plastic card plus however much you want to top it up - if you go into central London you need to allow for about £10 per day. If you don't want to queue for the card when you arrive you can order it in advance and have it delivered to your home before you leave. Ask me for the website.
