Cottage La Fortezza Alta

Relax among olive groves and green hills, alongside a fortress of the 15th century! This cottage has a kitchen, bedroom, living room with sofa bed and bathroom, a patio and garden. The property includes a swimming pool opened from 15th of May to 15th of September. For 2020 season, swimming pool has exclusive access through reservation, which is included in the price given. Beautiful scenario, cozy and spacious apartments built in typical regional architecture. Silent and peaceful neighborhood, good food and relax! You can use the big and beautiful evergreen lawn, the indoor swimming pool (only in the summer season) and taste the best of Umbrian cousine (but many other dishes) in our restaurant that is considered among the best in Terni province. We host also weddings (there is a chapel inside the Fortress) and other events. I can be at La Fortezza only occasionally to show you the misterious building and telling you the story of the Templars, Sergio the Ghost and how my ancestors took the Fortress more than one hundred years ago. Avigliano is a small village but there is anything you can need for a long stay: a food market, newspapers, a bank, shops. Nearby cities include Todi, Amelia and Narni. The Fortress is in the countryside so it is better to have your own car. There is a 500mt of good unpaved road to reach the place I want to stress a couple of things after some complaints we had recently: please do not book our stay if you don't like nature (including small and inoffensive animals going around the garden that sometimes can visit your appartment or make same noise during nights like little birds). We do not use any poisons or cage or whatever, this place is intended to be uncontaminated and original "agriturismo", so if you like fake places this is NOT the place to look for.
