Located in the historic town of Whitehaven, a Victorian terraced house offering spacious and comfortable accommodation. Double rooms with large TVs, tea and coffee facilities and comfy beds with 100% cotton bedding. Ideally situated for the start of the Coast to Coast walk, C2C cycle route and access to the Lakes. For the business traveller we are situated with good access to Sellafield, Albion Square, West Lakes Science Park and West Cumberland Hospital. Close to excellent local amenities. We have a lovely Victorian terraced house on the edge of Whitehaven. The room is both spacious and comfortable with a 40" wall mounted television with SkyQ tv, free high speed fibre optic wi-if, tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary bottled water. All bedding (100% cotton), bathrobes, slippers, towels and complimentary toiletries are provided. All you need to do is settle in and relax. We are close to many local amenities including an award winning pub with excellent food and real ales (of which many are locally brewed). There is also a swimming pool and gymnasium with in walking distance. Our house is ideally situated for both those visiting for recreation, as well as for those travelling for work and business. The bathroom is large and spacious with a deep bath and large enclosed shower. The kitchen is only available to long term stays. We live in part of the house and are always more than happy to help our guests. Whether it be for a chat over a brew or letting them know about the local area, how to get to places and to help with any other queries. We have several pubs within walking distance, of which many offer good food. The closest is an award winning pub with great food and local real ale, which is voted the number one place to eat in the area on Tripadvisor. There is also a very good fish and chip shop, a supermarket and corner shop with in walking distance. We are just off the A595 and close to local bus routes. The train station is situated in the town centre and we would be happy to pick you up when available. We are ideally situated on the fringes of the Western Lake District. Perfectly suited for access to the famous C2C cycle route which begins on Whitehaven's historic harbour. We are also close to the start of the Coast to Coast walk which is in neighbouring St Bees. We are right on the edge of the Western Lakes offering easy access to the tranquillity of the quieter part of the National Park including the delightful Ennerdale Water (6 miles) which has a beautiful lakeside path for walkers of all abilities. It is also ideal for getting to Wasdale valley, which boasts both the highest peak in England (Scafell Pike) and the deepest lake in England (Wastwater). Whitehaven itself is a beautiful and vibrant harbour town on the West Coast of Cumbria with historic links across the globe due to port being one of the countries major trade routes in years gone by. It is a great place to spend time with stunning Georgian architecture, museums, shops and numerous cafes, bars, restraunts and pubs.
