Our light-filled 2br apartment has two queen bedrooms, full kitchen, full bath, dining room, two living rooms and beautiful sunrise views over the Hudson. The apartment is the entire second floor with a separate entrance and includes a shared yard. Just a 2min walk from Coxsackie’s historic Main Street with a general store (coffee, food, beer), wine shop, and restaurant. Conveniently located to local venues and a 10 min drive to Athens, 15 min to Catskill and 20 min to Hudson amtrak Our home is nearly 120 years old and we're new homeowners in the process of bringing it to its full potential. While we can't promise perfection, we tried our best to capture our home as-is and will do our best to make your stay as convenient and pleasant as possible. We live in the downstairs unit with our dog Duke and are always happy to offer recommendations in town and the surrounding region. Located between the Capital Region and Mid-Hudson Valley, Coxsackie offers unique access to events, cideries, breweries, antique shops, parks and places to hike. Long-term rentals and rental of the entire home (4BR, 2BA) is also available upon request You have the entire second floor. Attic is off limits to guests We live in the downstairs apartment and may be there during your stay. We have a separate entrance and may have a car in the drive-way, but otherwise keep to ourselves. You might see us walking our dog Duke and can always reach us by email or phone if needed. We love that downtown is a short walk from the house and close to many wedding venues. Here are some of our favorite things to do: Blackhorse Farms: open seasonally and great for produce, local meat, cheese, bread, plants and desserts, specifically pie! Hi-Way Drive-In: Quintessential 80's style Drive-In movie theatre showing first-run double features with a cheap and delicious snack stand! Reed Street Bottle Shop: this might be my favorite winestore ever. Great under $12 selection and the owners Susan and Shia make excellent recommendations for those looking for something special Mansion and Reed General Store: local stop for coffee, milk, cheese, bread, salad, beer and cider as well as dry goods. Seating area with WiFi and a lovely barrister! Che Figata: Standard Italian restaurant serving up hearty portions of fare. We love their caesar salad and pesto pastas. Cask and Rasher: Lively gastro pub with serious BBQ, great beer selection and outdoor seating. A 20 min walk or 5 min drive from the apt Coxsackie Antique Center: 100+ vendors. You can find anything here, including great bargains! Thomas Cole House: A short drive to Catskill brings you to the Thomas Cole House. The Hudson River inspired a whole school of painting. Find out why! Coxsackie Riverfront Park: Ideal spot for a water front picnic. The park has stations to grill, a boat/kayak launch, playground and river walk with beautiful views. There is also live music in the gazebo over the summer Uber is available in this area which makes it easy to go out for the night or return to the train/bus station There are sidewalks in town which makes it easy to get to the mainstreet, waterfront park and the Cask and Rasher! Amtrak stops in Hudson and Trailways bus stops in Catskill. These are the two easiest ways to access our home by public transportation. Being located in the village we kindly ask guests to keep noise down after 11. There is construction happening in the downtown and park is currently being renovated.
