Loch Ness Hideaway
A newly built tiny house that opened in July 2019. A compact but delightful and cosy space for couples, minutes from the Great Glen Way. We are dog friendly, with a secure garden that is your own during our stay. This is a self-contained space with self-check in and out which is custom designed and built for holidays in a cosy and modern space. The Hideaway is a self-catering peaceful retreat in the picturesque village of West Lewiston, Drumnadrochit, near to iconic Loch Ness. A tiny self contained house within Margaret’s garden which gives guests privacy and seclusion, whilst being within 5 mins walking distance of the inviting local restaurant and bar, The Loch Ness Inn. Includes a small kitchenette and basic cooking facilities - you can eat in or walk to the local restaurants. The local, newly refurbished and well-stocked supermarket is 10 mins walk away along with the centre of Drumnadrochit where you can find a post office, health centre, chemist, coffee shops and gift shops. Inverness is 30 mins by car or bus and there is a bus which stops directly outside the house. The situation is perfect for walkers, bikers and holiday makers - all those who would love to explore the Highlands of Scotland. Loch Ness is a 20 minute walk through woodland, by the river Coiltie, the Cover and on to Urquhart Bay. Or, also on the doorstep, head in the opposite direction to the Falls of Divach. Urquhart Castle and the Great Glen Way are only a few of the many attractions in the surrounding area. We welcome dogs. A self contained space that includes a small kitchen area with hob, microwave, compact 2 shelf fridge, kettle, toaster, shower room, hot and cold water and tea and coffee making facilities. A Welcome Pack awaits including tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. Bed linen, towels and toiletries are provided and a table, chairs, free wifi and Amazon TV are available for use ( any free amazon prime show ) I travel a lot but you can e mail or text any questions and I will reply! Someone will be on hand during your stay. The hideaway is in the garden of our cottage, on one of the oldest streets in drumnadrochit. Formerly the queens pipers’ house! Within walking distance to the Loch Ness inn and indeed all shops and restaurants in drumnadrochit. It is minutes from the great Glen way as there are a shop host of walks possible from the doorstep. Bus services run from just down the road. If you are coming by bus please note that you should get in touch with us beforehand and we can give you timetables and advice. You can use the bus service which runs from the end of the road into inverness or fort Augustus was. Or by car we have parking for one vehicle. Car parking for one car. The street is narrow so please park in designated car parking space directly outside the cottage. Please contact me if you have a larger vehicle. You have a self contained garden area but there is a larger garden as well which is also enclosed. We do have a rabbit in this area so please keep dogs on leads until you get through to the Hideaway garden! There is sometimes someone around to welcome you, but please use the self check-in instructions to let yourself in and leave on your departure.
