A Home in the Village is a delightful four bedroom house, tucked away on a quiet, residential street in the heart of Brookline village. This home is ideal for those seeking a neighborhood feel, but also need close proximity to the city. The house has four bedrooms, a small powder room on the first floor, and a larger full bathroom on the second floor with a bathtub and shower. The bathrooms are stocked with Aesop bath products to enjoy during your stay. There are three bedrooms on the second floor, two with queen sized beds, and one with a full sized bed. On the first floor is a bedroom with a queen sized bed, and an en suite shower. The house has an open floor plan, which makes it a great house for communing. The living room features a built in wood burning fireplace, and well as a concealed flat screen TV that can be easily accessed for watching movies in the evenings. The spacious eat in kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need to prepare a meal, and is perfect for hosting. There is a dishwasher, as well as a washer and dryer on the first floor for your convenience. There is a weekly house cleaner included in the price of your stay. Brookline Village is unique in that it has all the qualities of an intimate community, but is extremely accessible to the city. The village is situated on two train lines, and three buses, making the commute to the nearby hospitals and universities very convenient. It is a very short walk, along the scenic Muddy River, to Longwood Medical Center, and Kenmore Square. The village itself has a vibrant restaurant scene, including a cozy Irish pub, and two lovely Italian restaurants. The village is also extremely conducive to families. In walking distance is the public library, a puppet theater and a wonderful children's bookshop. There are also two parks at the end of the street, one of which hosts community events for families throughout the warmer months. The cottage is located moments away from two MBTA stops (the D and E line) and two bus routes (65 and 66) making it easy to reach downtown, Harvard Square, etc. From the Brookline Village T stop, there are also free shuttle buses that service all major hospitals, including Brigham and Women's Hospital, the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and the Children's Hospital. Longwood Medical Area is about a 7-10 minute walk. The historic Fenway Park is about a 15 minute walk and 10 minutes beyond that is Boston's shopping district, Newbury Street. Also within walking distance are many of Boston's Universities, including Boston University, Northeastern, Harvard Medical School, Simmons College and many more. Boston College is a 10 minute drive. There are also helpful apps for getting around Boston such as UBER and Lyft, and there is a taxi stand at the MBTA stop. There are two bike-for-hire (hubway) stands around the corner as well as a zip car port.
