The Maison Ansabère is an old charming family farm, completely restored. It's located in the mountain stone village of Lescun, famous for its "Cirque of Lescun", in the Valley of Aspe. Ideal base for trekkers, climbers, cyclers, paragliders, horse's riders, winter skiers, typical south-west food&wine, and most of all, nature lovers and Bearn visitors. Please, welcome ! Capacity of 4-5 persons. For renting the entire house (for 11-13p) or only the 1st floor, please check out the dedicated ad's. Buried in the folds of Cirque de Lescun is the mountain village of Lescun, a settlement that has remained essentially unchanged since the 19th century. The "Maison Ansabère" is to an idyllic 300 years old house. Spread over two floors, this family house can accommodate 4-5 persons at the ground floor, 6 persons at the 1st floor or 10-11 persons if you rent the whole house. This ad's is for the ground floor only (60 sq meters): - 1 bedroom (double bed) - 1 bedroom (2 single beds) - 1 convertible sofa in the dining room (for 1 adult or 2 kids) - Dining room with US- fully furnished kitchen (oven, dish-washer, gas cooktop, microwave oven, kettle), a table for 4-6 persons and TV corner. - One bathroom with italian shower (and washing machine). - Toilet. South-facing garden where you can have barbecue enjoying the great mountain views and sunsets seated at garden table or at sun lounger. There're 2 bigger gardens next to the house you can access too. Private parking. Internet access, DVD player and satellite television. Baby equipments (bed, bath, chair) are available on demand. Price includes linen and towels, electricity (heating, hot water...). In winter, electricity set price is 9€/night (included), if you waste more, it's in your charge. Lescun is the ideal base for exploring Pyrenean highlights from the Roman History to the Industrial area, such as the monastic Churches of Sarrance and San Juan de la Peña, the 19th Fort Portalet, the old 1920 railroad… A trekker paradise, Lescun is an integral part of the renowned GR10 and Compostelle footpaths. Whether you choose to hike, climb, cycle, go paragliding, horse's riding, fishing or in winter skiing at nearby Candanchú & Astún (35 minutes) or Col du Somport (30 minutes) and Arette-La Pierre St Martin (45 minutes) french stations. The spanish aragonese border is at 35 km. But most of all, if you're a nature lover, looking for typical, wild and quiet places, Lescun village is for you. Welcome. In Lescun, there are : - Minimarket (with bread, croissants and "pain au chocolat"), - Bar-restaurants, - The best cheese seller of the valley, - Post service. During the summer, you can even rent a donkey for the day for hiking with little kids ! At 15 minutes driving, there are : doctors, phamacy, banks, bakery, butcher's shop with delicatessen, a local market (on Thursdays morning), a supermarket (Intermarché), gasoline, ATM and of course more restaurants and pubs. I'm working in Paris. So, a friend who's living in the village, will be attending you for your check in and check out. So bearnese ! By plane : Pau's airport (Air France) or Biarritz's airport (Air France & Easyjet). By train : Pau, Oloron Sainte Marie or Bedous' stations. At the end, you need a car to access to the village.
