'Hygge On The Hill' - A Cosy Cornish Retreat

Our 'Hygge' is a converted 1970's static caravan situated in peaceful Cornish countryside, surrounded by fields and with distant seaviews. Our secluded location provides maximum opportunities for relaxation but is only a short drive away from the bustling historic town of Falmouth, the Helford River and a plethora of local beaches along the south coast. Having been renovated to a high standard the caravan bears little resemblance to it's humble beginnings... A Scandinavian relative recently explained that the notion of 'Hygge' is to relax and feel as at-home as possible, forgetting life's worries and embracing simple happiness - what a great word! Our 'Hygge' is situated in the clearing beyond our small woodland of native trees. Completely independent from the farmhouse and has it's own private deck and garden space - perfect for relaxing amongst the trees in the shaded hammock or sitting by the fire pit after a day at the beach. And in the unfortunate event of rain you can always cosy up by the wood-burning stove! 'The Hygge On The Hill' is ideal for a couple looking to enjoy a Cornish break. No matter how long your stay, there is plenty to enjoy and do in the area and is a great base to explore further destinations in the county. With perfect spots for surfing, paddle boarding, sailing, fishing, coastal walks, cycling, horse riding, or sampling the foodie havens, we think Cornwall has something for everyone! Private secluded deck and garden space with outdoor seating, BBQ & fire pit . Parking for cars and bike storage. Body boards available on request. Nearby crossfit gym and yoga studio. Horse riding available in local village of Constantine. Wonderful local pubs and restaurants for eating out. Complete privacy offered but host is on hand if guests require anything. Washing and drying facilities available if required. Discover perfect spots for surfing, sailing, fishing, coastal walks, cycling or horse riding. Visit the vibrant port of Falmouth for loads of interesting shops and restaurants or go to the seaside village of Porthleven if you're a food lover. local farmers market in the village of Constantine. Local products sold in Gweek spar . Great places to eat out locally ;The Boat Yard cafe and the Black Swan in Gweek. Through the village of Constantine you can drive to The Potager garden cafe or onto the Port Navas yacht club for evening meals on the river. Due to our secluded location 'The Hygge' is unsuitable unless you have your own transport. The nearest airport is in Newquay with regular flights from other UK cities and many European destinations. Our nearest train stations are in Falmouth, Penryn and Truro. Cycling is extremely popular in our area, although the Cornish roads can be quite narrow. Bike storage is available and we're more than happy to share some of our favourite routes! Parking. Drive into Trebarvah woon Farm ,follow driveway then turn right onto grass track .parking area is situated on your right .you will find the Hygge on the Hill just through the gateway. please do not drive through gateway up to the Hygge. Smoking is not permitted inside. Charge point for electric /hybrid cars located near farmhouse. We try very hard to leave minimal impact on our planet so recycling facilities available near parking area.Food compositing for uncooked waste. Starter pack for log burner provided with additional logs and kindling available £2.50 per refill . Sadly we can no longer accept four legged friends. Covid 19 guidance Whilst holidaying with us you can be completely isolated if that suits you ,I am of course on hand if needed . Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra steps to clean and sanitise frequently touched surfaces between reservations , this will mean that changeovers will take a little longer . Please discuss arrival times before you travel. Many local businesses are going home deliveries for meals and food ,which means you can avoid supermarkets completely if you chose to . I can give details on your arrival. Food boxes can be ordered the day before your arrival from ‘Veggies and more’ See online . In order to further minimise risk it is my intention to remove soft furnishings in the Hygge as it is not possible to sanitise these between each changeover. Please feel free to bring your own cushions and additional blankets for cosy nights of the sofa .
