Karapiro Heidiway

This quiet, private hideaway in Maungatautari at Karapiro looks out onto farmland yet is close to many local attractions. Across the road is Lake Karapiro, and the Mighty River Domain with the Don Rowlands Event Centre, and High Performance Rowing Centre. Easy day trips to Hobbiton, Waitomo Caves and Hamilton Gardens. The self contained unit is attached to the home where my husband and I live, but you have your own separate access and outdoor area. Off street parking is available. You will have your own self contained unit which has a small but fully equipped kitchen, which includes a full size oven, stovetop and fridge/freezer. There are two bedrooms, one with a super-king bed the other with twin single beds (king singles). Both have direct access to the lawn outside. The large bathroom has a shower and separate bath. Towels and linen are provided. The unit has its own deck area and you are welcome to use our BBQ if you want to cook outside. There is a laundry area you can use which is shared with us. It has a washing machine and dryer. There is an outside washing line conveniently located next to your unit you can use as well if you want to dry your items in the fresh country air. You will have full exclusive use of the self-contained unit and outdoor deck. You can walk from the off-street parking area to your own entrance into the unit. My husband or I will usually be here to greet you. If for some reason we can't be we will let you know where to find the key. We will then leave you to enjoy your stay but are always just a call or text away if there is anything you need. We are situated in a rural subdivision that allows a quiet lifestyle and yet is still close to Cambridge, Expressways and popular tourist attractions. Across the road, alongside Lake Karapiro, is the Podium Cafe and playground at the Mighty River Domain and there is a paved footpath alongside the river that makes for a lovely safe walk or ride if you want to bring your bicycles or scooters. Also at the Domain is the Don Rowlands Event Centre and High Performance Rowing Centre.
