Glückauf - Welcome to Bochum!

Modern, bright and friendly und with the typical greeting of the Ruhrpott miners "Glückauf" awaits the appartment its visitors. The appartment is centrally located but still in the greenbelt. Four people can settle in - also on the nice sunterrasse. The appartment has 48 sqm. It offers a separat sleeping-room and a large living- and dining-area with adjoining kitchen. There is a large and modern bathroom. The price includes linen, towels and final cleaning. The bedroom provides a large doublebed (2x2m) and a 3-door-closet. The living-/dining-area features a diningtable for up to 8 people, a TV with integrated DVD-player and two airmchairs which can be expanded to spacious daybeds for the 3rd and 4th person. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge and a freezer compartment, stove and oven, microwave, toaster, coffeemachine, electric-cattle and mixer. Dishes and cutlery are available in an adequate amount. An amenity of the appartment is the access from the dining-room to the own sunterrasse. Telephone and powerlan are free of charge. A cot and a high chair are available upon request. The guests have their own little kingdom and are free to do as they like. They have their own access to the appartment. Nevertheless we as your hosts are always willing to give advice for excursions, restaurants and so on. Feel free to ask! Bochum is a small, cozy city in the Ruhr area, it offers the diversity that one expects in the Ruhr area, without being noisy and hectic. Nature, art, culture and entertainment - everything is at hand in Bochum and the Ruhrarea. Art and culture lovers can experience the musical Starlight Express which is on stage in Bochum for more than a decade now. But there is also the equally famous Jahrhunderthalle waiting for the visitors, the Zeiss Planetarium, the Railway Museum and the Deutsches Bergbaumuseum (German Mining Museum). Bochum at night is unthinkable without the beyond the city limits well-known "Bermuda3Eck" - with its pubs and restaurants in Bochum City. With the Schauspielhaus Bochum, Bochum Symphony Orchestra and the Bochum Museum of Art the high culture is at home here. At Kulturbahnhof Langendreer with its Kino Endstation, the cult pub in the train station and the socio-cultural center and its renowned cultural program friends of the alternative scene find a very special location. The apartment is located between Weitmar and Linden on the edge of a green belt. It offers the possibility to recover in the park of "Haus Weitmar". River Ruhr is easyly accessible through a well-developed bicycle path - former railway line - which is in close vicinity without having to come into contact with the city. The Botanical Garden of the Ruhr University with the Chinese garden and exhibition greenhouses is easy to reach and a special feature for all nature lovers. Also not far away is the Kemnader sea with its water sports facilities. The Ruhrarea at its best can be experienced from the appartment by car as well as by public transportation. Connection into downtown Bochum and to the Ruhr University is very convenient . The distance by car is about 10 minutes. By public transportation it will take 20 to 30 minutes. The neighbour cities Dortmund, Essen and Hattingen are also in close reach. Parking space is available across the street. The next busstop is "Am Bremkamp" and lies within 100 m from the appartment. The tram is about 1 km away. All information about the puplic transportation system in the Ruhr area offers the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr (VRR). There is a very useful app available for the VRR.
