This fabulous light flat just a stone's throw from Trent Bridge Cricket Club is clean and large. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and there is also a family bathroom. It is on the ground floor, and has access for 2 cars in a secure place. This apartment has fabulous light, is a good size, hidden away behind gates but just 5 minutes walk from the River Trent with it's nature and sporting facilities, as well as all the shops, cafe's and bars of West Bridgford. Guests will have access to the entire flat and 2 car parking spaces I can be on hand for anything that guests need. I am very quick on the phone so I will be quick to fix anything or provide help for guests. The neighbourhood is full of lovely restaurants and pubs, music & sporting venues, and has great & easy access to town and the transport network around the UK. West Bridgford has lots of parks and open green areas as well as river walks down the Trent. Grab a bite, drink, & evening entertainment...Head down to Central Avenue and there is no end in choice of places to eat, whether it be for a bite, a drink, or something more substantial. There are cafés and bars where service continues all day and into the evening, such as Belle & Jerome, or Copper Bar Café (including yummy breakfast/brunch!). You’ll often find people relaxing on the chairs outside (when the sun shows itself!). Equally, there is Fire & Ice, The Monkey Tree and The Oriental Pearl/Pearl Bar which transform into a vibrant social scene during the evening. There is always the option of beginning your night in West Bridgford and then catching a bus, outside Fire & Ice, for example, into Nottingham where you can explore the nightlife further. If you fancy a calmer evening, West Bridgford has a number of restaurants to offer. What do you fancy? Something laid back and tasty? Head to Pizza Express or Mud Crab, with a mixture of Australian and American influences behind the menu: you can’t miss it – the impressive glass building on Central Avenue. Carluccio's has also just arrived in West Bridgford! Perhaps you fancy tapas? Head to escabeche, situated opposite Pizza Express. Alternatively, head to the opposite end of Central Avenue, towards Trent Bridge and you’ll find The Larwood & Voce, or The Riverbank Bar & Kitchen – exceptional food food and again, should you fancy it, evening entertainment. Or fancy a night in? There are plenty of takeaway options: Rectory Fish Bar does especially delicious Fish and Chips. If you feel like cooking, there are a number of food shops, including Marks & Spencer, or even closer to you, the good-old reliable Co-op, and for a treat later, pop into Thorntons for all your ‘sweet-tooth’ cravings! Wander around the shops…If shopping is your forte, West Bridgford has a number of unique shops which you can’t find anywhere else! Drop into Delights for a range of gifts – or treat yourself – why not! There are also some clothing stores, including footwear shops, all close-by to Central Avenue. Also, for all your daily health and pharmacy needs, there’s Boots, for book-lovers there are book shops, for a bargain, there are charity shops and if you are in need of some pampering, an array of salons to choose from. Sport...You’re in luck. West Bridgford is host to Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club. Or if football is more your thing, there’s both Nottingham Forest Football Club AND Notts County Football Club at your doorstep. Fitness...Outdoors or indoors, there are a number of places you can go – whether for something gentle, or something to really get you heart pumping. Outdoors: •Holme Pierrepont – including water rapids, canoeing and other exciting outdoor activities. •West Bridgford Park – including tennis courts, or for a gentle stroll. There are also pretty gardens and a play area for children. •River walk along the embankment. Cross the ‘rickety rackety’ bridge – but don’t look down!! Indoors: •Rushcliffe Arena (without swimming pool). •David Lloyd Leisure, Roko Health clubs (both with pools). On offer at all clubs such as these are games such as badminton, squash and so on (book your court beforehand). If you happen to go to any of the local places, feel free to mention that we recommended them! That way we can continue to work together with local businesses in supporting each other! ☺ Further afield...Head into Nottingham and there is plenty more to choose from, again, depending on what you feel like – shopping, cinema, clubs, bars, restaurants, cafes, tenpin bowling, and so on – and easily accessible by bus, or there are car parks if you’d prefer to drive. Hopefully this information has been helpful. If you have any other queries regarding anything during your stay please do get in contact and we’ll be happy to help in any way we can! ☺ With that said, there’s one final thing to say… ENJOY!! Excellent transport links. It takes only 5-10 minutes to reach the centre of Nottingham by bus with buses being very regular. Catch the number 11 from Radcliffe Road (amongst other buses) or walk into West Bridgford for other 'Green line' buses - numbers 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. These will take you to and from Nottingham city, via Trent Bridge and the Train Station. You can find all timetables for these, and the option to plan your route, at the nctx website. Our buses have the oddity of taking correct change only! Save your change for them - they are well worth it , very frequent and handy but get expensive if you keep having to use notes! £2.00 one way, £3.50 day ticket and sometimes - like weekend and holidays, you can get cheap day family tickets for 2 adults and 2 kids for as little as £4.50.
