This space is the ultimate setting for converging with friends and family after a day taking in all the Twin Cities has to offer. OUR HOME * Private, lighted entrance * Expansive walkout basement * 4 large bedrooms, 2 spacious bathrooms * Living and dining area * Full kitchen THE PROPERTY * 5 wooded acres * Expansive patio and backyard for guest use * Ample on-site parking Your space is only shared with those in your group. SLEEPING: * Polka Dot room: King * NBA Room: Queen * Purple Room: King * Twins Room: Twins (2) RELAXING: Living room with Flexsteel power recliner sofa and loveseat, 55" TV + Roku, DVD player. HDMI cable provided. EATING: Oven/stove, refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker/grinder, tea kettle and microwave. Pots/pans, utensils, plates, glasses, and serving ware are furnished, as well as coffee, creamer, and sugar. GETTING OUTDOORS: Guests can enjoy a walk on our property or easily connect to a trail to Lake O'Dowd. Playgrounds, swimming, hiking are all close by. Our yard backs up to par 3 golf course and borders DNR land. Stonebrooke Golf Course (18-hole) is across the street; Water's Edge (par 3) is in our backyard. LITTLE ONES: We have a portable crib, a rocker, a portable high chair, toddler step stool, toddler plates & utensils, Diaper Genie, baby gates as well as a selection of toys, books, games & puzzles for a variety of ages. DRIVING DISTANCES: ~10 mins: shopping, groceries, restaurants, hiking, lakes, Canterbury Park, Mystic Lake Casino, Valleyfair, Renaissance Festival, Chaska Curling Center. ~30 mins: Mall of America, downtown Minneapolis, Target Field, Target Center, Minnesota's Largest Candy Store. NOTE: * Owners live on the main level of the home. * Guest walk down a sloping paved path to the Airbnb entrance. * On-site laundry is usually available with advance notice for stays > five days. * Reservations >12 days receive a required, complimentary cleaning. CORONAVIRUS: * Extra days between reservations to air out. * Meticulous disinfection. LONG-TERM STAYS: * Multi-month stays will be considered. * Guests receive initial Starter Pack (paper products, cleaning supplies, etc.). * Security deposit and rental agreement may be required. * Regular cleaning/refresh may be coordinated. Your space includes the entire, private walkout basement and backyard patio. We always enjoy meeting new people, but leave it up to you to decide how much you want to interact. Any questions or issues you have will be responded to as quickly as we can; however, communication received after 10 pm will be responded to the following day. We are <10 mins from Valleyfair, Chaska Curling, Canterbury Park (tons of events) & Mystic Lake Casino (tons of shows). Only 25 mins to Mall of America, MSP Airport and downtown Minneapolis. Shakopee has a small-town feel with all the conveniences of the city. Everything you need is within a 10-15 minute drive: Target/Walmart, groceries, fast food, restaurants, bars, shopping, Home Depot/Lowes, two movie theatres. We are less than a 10-minute drive to Highway 169 which gives you easy access to everything in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Stonebrooke Restaurant & Bar is just across the road within easy walking distance. Shakopee is a suburb on the outskirts of the Twin Cities, so driving around is easy and convenient. A bus station will take you into downtown Minneapolis and ride-share options are plentiful. Scott County has a wildlife refuge and many parks and trails. WINTER: When snow accumulates, we will shovel the path to the Airbnb regularly. Ice melt and shovels are available to guests. We live in a wintry climate so you may encounter snow on our driveway and paths. Floors in the Airbnb are heated during the winter. Easily access snowmobile trails right from our house. SUMMER: We are often outside caring for our 5-acre property. Let us know if you'd like to join in! :) A/C is on during the summer for your comfort. Please check with host before opening windows. Enjoy lawn games in our huge backyard or an afternoon nap in one of our hammocks. DOG Our Fox Red Labrador, Gracie, loves to meet new people.
