Surrounded by trees, tropical plants, and a dam teeming with bird life, this spacious 2 bedroom cottage is an ideal place to get away from it all. Drive over the rustic, wooden bridge to the peaceful 3 acre property and let your worries melt away. If you feel like a rest in the country-this is it. Only 15 minutes drive from Gold Coast Airport, and beautiful beaches; and just 45 minutes to both Mount Warning and Surfers' Paradise. Welcome to use the main pool, gym and two mountain bikes. The lovely two-bedroom cottage has a cosy interior with all modern conveniences. Guests will find board games, puzzles, books and magazines to help with that indulgent "weekend away" feeling. It is country living with a touch of luxury--with great quality towels and bed-linen, a welcome basket for the enjoyment of the guests. There is plenty of room for playing or for sitting and watching birds or just sipping a drink on the front or back of the cottage. The professional quality table tennis table is a great source of fun and a favourite activity for our guests. The pool is inviting and the 2 mountain bikes are available to explore the country roads in the area. Walk up Piggabeen Road and see cows, horses and beautiful country homes, fields and trees. It is the kind of country village where most local drivers give each other a friendly wave. It is truly a remarkable little part of the world--a lush, green secret valley with hobby farms and a few working farms. 15 minutes drive to some of the most beautiful beaches on the Gold Coast--best of both worlds. The cottage is about 15 metres from owner’s house, but is completely private with an entrance of its own. The swimming pool is outside the main house, but the owners give the guests privacy when they are using the pool. Enjoy a bbq; play frisbee or throw a vortex or football in the big backyard behind the cottage. Play your friends or family on the professional-level table tennis table in the gym. Owners will be home most of the time if you would like any tips of local spots to visit or need any assistance. Scott is always willing to help to try to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, while at the same time respecting guests privacy. You are left alone to enjoy your time at Still Waters. We love living in this little country village. It is a peaceful pocket of Australia where you can enjoy nature and a bit of space, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It takes 13 mins to get to Coolangatta Beach. The best way to get around in Piggabeen is using a car. There are no shops in Piggabeen (although you can pick up fresh eggs, honey, bananas and avocados at various honesty road stalls). The nearest large shops are either down the highway to Tweed South or follow Kennedy Drive into Tweed. Pet Friendly—bring your fur babies-they are so welcome!
