The Hay Loft Falmouth - luxury Barn conversion

Escape to the coast and enjoy a cosy stay at our newly converted luxury barn. Nestled in a semi rural location between Falmouth and the Helford, the Hay Loft is within walking distance to Maenporth and Swanpool beach. Falmouth golf course is only a short walk away for those keen golfers. The Hay Loft sleeps 5, has a private garden, parking, two bedrooms and mezzanine floor with a double sofa bed if required and an office space. There is a wood burner for those cosy winter breaks. We have really thought about our guest experience and welcome you to The Hay Loft on arrival with a Cornish welcome pack including milk, bread, tea and coffee along with an array of other goodies. Entrance and parking Parking is to the left of the driveway in front of the Hay Loft. Entrance from car park to front door is via a gravel path. Kitchen Beautiful modern kitchen designed by local company Torben Schmidt is equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, wine fridge, fridge with combined small freezer compartment. We will leave a small quantity of dishwasher tablets and washing powder for your use. Dining space Within with kitchen there is a dining table and chairs. High chair is available. There is also a breakfast bar for more casual dinning (two bar stools). Living space The living space is open vaulted with beautiful features. Seating for 5, rug, tv, wood burner, bose portable speaker. Super cosy! Bathroom The bathroom is equipped with robes and slippers and toiletries. Master bedroom King size bed with Emma hybrid mattress, smart tv, comfy cushions, space for hanging your clothes. Bedroom 2 Two single beds and space for hanging clothes. There is also a chest of drawers for further storage. Extra space/ bedroom 3/ office space The mezzanine area is a perfect area for chilling and playing games (and sleeping on our beautiful Loaf double sofa bed with memory foam topper). There is also a desk for working if you fancy a working break. Wood burner There is a wood burner and we kindly ask that you burn brickets only and one at a time as it will get very warm especially in the summer months (we will supply you with a starter pack). Garden Guests have access to a lovely garden which is a wonderful sun trap. The garden is new and the hedging is only now establishing but it is still beautiful. We also have an outdoor shower! Please note this is cold water only! Please feel free to rinse off Sandy toes here! There is a patio area which is perfect for that morning coffee or afternoon bbq. Garden furniture is provided. We do have lovely neighbours adjacent to the property who do like to enjoy their garden so we do ask our guests to be respectful of this and we advise our guests to vacate inside no later than 10pm. We also have some neighbours of the feathered variety who you may hear from time to time! Please note we have used some materials such as oak, slate and concrete so we ask our smaller guests so be vigilant :) Child friendly We are child friendly having two of our own and provide child friendly cutlery, plates and cups. Buckets and spades and games provided. We have a high chair and travel cot available if required. Bins/recycling The waste bin is at bottom of garden and recycling boxes are in the shed. We will collect waste every Monday evening/Tuesday morning. BBQ There is a disposable bbq stand in the shed and we always provide a bbq cassette for all guests. Shed In the shed you will find recycling boxes and bbq. There are also buckets and spades for use during your stay. Please use this space to store bikes, surfboards and wetsuits. Please do not bring wet wetsuits in to the property. Outdoor shower Cold water outdoor copper shower is situated on the patio. Dogs Small dogs considered. Please message prior to booking to discuss. Guests have access to parking at the front of the property. Access to the property is via a pathway adjacent to the garden. . There is an outdoor shed to store any bikes, golf clubs, surf boards etc. Recycling boxes are stored in the shed area. Bin collection is every Tuesday and recycling every other Tuesday. Bins are collected from the main entrance to the properties. Happy to answer any questions you may have, we do live within the grounds so only a stones throw away should you need us. We are new to this and welcome feedback. We will be looking at ways to improve all the time. We want your stay to be luxurious, relaxing and fun. The Hay Loft is situated off Roscarrack Road which is a quiet rural road with easy access to the property. Close by you will find Maenporth beach and Swanpool beach. Other local beaches are only a short distance away such as Gyllyngvase and Castle. Situated close to the Helford Passage. There are many beautiful walks you can access from the doorstep of the property. Trebah and Glendurgan gardens are a ten minute car ride up the road. Our favourite restaurants which are close by are Hooked on the Rocks and the Ferry boat in. There are plenty of water sports activities on both neighbouring beaches and both beaches have a cafe where you can pick up a light lunch or a coffee and an ice cream! There is a local pub in the village of Budock which is a short walk away and a convenience store for all your local produce. We will leave local guides for you to peruse during your stay but there is so much to do in Cornwall, you won’t get bored. The Hay Loft is a 5 minute taxi ride from Falmouth train stations. We have space for parking your vehicle on our off road private driveway. The property is within walking distance to beautiful beaches and restaurants. Falmouth town centre is a 30min walk or 5 minute car or taxi ride. We are surrounded by many coastal walks so perfect for keen walkers. Other things to do: The maritime museum is a great day out especially if the weather isn’t so great. There are loads of fantastic restaurants in this area also. Catch a ferry over to St Mawes and grab a spot of lunch and enjoy the view. Pendennis Castle is a nice day out and enjoy an ice cream on Pendennis point. Why not pick up some fish from the local fish monger and enjoy on a bbq at the beach! We do have pets (a cat and small dog) which you may see from time to time but the Hay Loft is private and detached. Our driveway is partly shared so you may see us commuting to and from but we will always remain respectful of our guests.
