The Roost

We are so happy to be welcoming guests back beginning July 2021! Your stay at The Roost will put you amidst sunshine and branches. The best of both worlds, we are located just 1.5 miles from the ocean in a sunny redwood grove. Of course Albion is an easy 10 minute drive to Mendocino Village. Bird lovers can enjoy their coffee on the upper deck while taking in the morning chorus. There are windows and skylights in all rooms for maximum enjoyment of the forest. With a name like The Roost you'll probably gather we've got some chickens (Hens only!). They are happy to make your mornings a little sunnier (eggs anyway you like ‘em). There is an enclosed "flower garden corral" adjacent to the Roost entrance. Here, amidst the blooms, is a 1921 claw footed tub and shower which guests have private access to during their stay. The home has two units each with private entrance at the opposite sides of building. We live in the lower unit but the only shared space is the parking area. Because each unit has it's own private outdoor space as well there is really very little interaction (unless of course you'd like our two cents on all the amazing things to see and do here in our area!) We are located on a quite private road where folks drive slowly and take time to wave :) During summer months there is a little glamping TeePee for one if you need an extra bed :)
