We do not cater for children or pets mainly to preserve the ambience for our guests. Every cottage has blockout blinds to create privacy and a private verandah with an outdoor setting. Our guests are free to wander through the shared space of the grounds and enjoy the gardens and birdlife. Once your booking has been processed, you will automatically receive a 10 digit Door Code within 48 hours of your arrival time, to your mobile as a text or to your email address that you provided to us at the time of your booking. There is no need to see a reception desk at the cottages, simply access your cottage on arrival any time after 2pm. It is very private. The space is all yours. We, as hosts do not live on site, although you may meet us at times if we are there doing maintenance or cleaning. Either way we would love to offer you any assistance or advice, if needed? Lake Mountain, just 20 minutes drive from Marysville, is Melbourne's closest snowfield offering tobogganing and cross country skiing in the winter and mountain biking and sight seeing in the green season. Marysville has many bush walking trails close to town that offer breathtaking views and crystal clear streams. Public transport: McKenzie Bus Lines come through Marysville twice daily on their journey between Melbourne and Eildon. The bus stop is in the heart of town, just a 5 minute walk from the cottages, next to the bakery. All the Kitchenette's at Marysville Garden Cottages are equipped to prepare a light breakfast or lunch or re-heat a prepared meal in the microwave. They offer a bench, sink, bar fridge, microwave oven, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery, chopping board, glasses, tea cups and a dining table. We also provide a variety of teas, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar, milk, butter, fresh water, biscuits & sweets. There is no oven or cook top in the cottages and we ask that guests do not cook in the cottages due to the open plan layout that would allow the cooking smells to remain in the bedroom/lounge area for the next guest. Marysville Garden Cottages is located a very short walk from the cafe's and restaurants and most of our guests prefer to simply get their meals there. There are many free public BBQ's located in the public park approximately 100m away and we have complimentary BBQ utensils available on request for guests that wish to cook a BBQ.
