Country Homestead

Our warm and inviting country home has 2 double bedrooms both with ensuite bathrooms. Beautiful rural setting ideally situated approximately 5 minutes drive from Whakatane, Sunshine Capital of New Zealand and 10 minutes from the award winning Ohope beach. Come and stay in our comfortable country home with beautiful gardens and views and listen to the native birds. We have two queen rooms available both with ensuite bathrooms. You will have your own lounge and kitchen facilities and sunny covered deck. Guests will have access to own lounge and kitchen facilitiies. Tea coffee and milk are provided. Guests are welcome to use BBQ and garden areas. The accommodation is self contained but attached to our family home, with private entrance and outdoor seating area. We are happy to welcome you and share local information and knowledge and will endeavour to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Your hosts are Vicki and Will. Vicki is originally from Yorkshire , UK and Will is from Whakatane. Their interests are horse riding , hiking running and fruit wine making. We have excellent knowledge of our local area and activities , including horse trekking , beaches, fishing, walking and sightseeing. Hot pools are 15 minutes drive away and local attractions such as white island tours and dolphin watch 10 minutes drive. Whakatane has a pretty shopping centre and beautiful river walks bush walks and beaches. There are a variety of very good restaurants to suit all tastes Parking is available at our home and pick up and drop off to local airport and bus terminals is available by arrangement. We have 3 horses 2 very friendly dogs and 15 chickens which produce fresh free range eggs which are available for breakfast if required.
