Our cosy Queen Studio room for 2 people is attached to but separate from the main house. It has its own courtyard with lush tropical planting, a private entrance plus also use of our natural pool. Although compact it is a well-appointed, self-contained room with kitchenette, fridge, microwave, hotplate [no oven], electric frypan & BBQ. A non-smoking room with Queen Bed, ensuite, flat-screen TV, feather duvet, pillows, hairdryer, heated towel rail, electric blanket & drying rack. Free Wifi Our home at Wall St Accommodation is away from the main busy part of Kaiteriteri - and is bordered in part by a nature reserve with lots of native bush. We have many different tree and plant types, some lush and tropical, others sweet smelling and fragrant. There is also a small stretch of fruit trees and a vege garden. The chemical-free swimming pool is however the heart of the garden and quite truly a joy to be around. We aim to be energy efficient and use solar power, are keen on recycling, composting and the garden is mostly spray free. Your room at Wall St is off the main house with its own private entrance and a small courtyard. The main house is where Hans & I reside and is generally a private space - however you are more than welcome to wander around our gardens, pick lemons from the numerous lemon trees and leisurely swim in the chemical-free swimming pool (pool towels provided), lounge by the deck or in the very comfortable loungers on the grassed area by the pool. I even have a small vegetable plot you can enjoy the bounty of. We are both very happy to answer any questions you may have or provide you with insider details of places to see and trips to take in the area. We can also give you some handy maps so that you can make the most of your time here - it really is worth it. This is a great beachy summer paradise with lots of bays, beaches & places to explore - so expect lots of people wearing jandals, sunnies and carrying beach towels. Boats and kayaks abound. A large number of the homes in the area are holiday homes so there is a breezy holiday atmosphere. We live in a more peaceful, quiet part of the neighborhood We have a guest carpark available for you at Wall St Accommodation as well as a bike-stand for any biking enthusiasts making use of the Kaiteri Mountain Bike Park or the Great Taste Trail that criss-crosses the region. It is a 2-3 min drive to the main Kaiteriteri Beach where there is a general store, 2 x restaurants and water taxis to take you in to the Abel Tasman National Park. By foot it is an 8 min walk to Little Kaiteriteri Beach and a lovely 20 min walk to Kaiteriteri Beach. There is very little in the way of public transport - a bus does come through in the morning and the evening dropping off and collecting people at the start and end of the day. The Queen Studio room is without breakfast or provisions as your stay is self-catering. There are no available laundry facilities for your use although you can find somewhere for this in Kaiteriteri or you can drive to Motueka [15 min drive] to a Laundromat. There is however a drying rack provided.
