Authentic farmhouse in the Káli basin

The house is originally from 1905 but was fully rebuild in authentic style (with modern commodities) in 2005. We have a huge garden with a swimming pond / natural pond, pool decks, covered and open terraces, 2 open fire places in the garden. There are four bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, a big kitchen & dining room, a separate living room, a game room /lounge , a finish sauna and 2 bathrooms downstairs. Our beautiful house is located at the Balaton Highlands, in a region also known as "Hungarian Toscana". It´s located in a little quiet village close to the Hungarian "sea" (Balaton lake-10 minutes drive) in a national park with beautiful volcanic hills/forests and many small wineyards. To do in the neighbourhood: Watersports: Balaton lake (10 km-10 min drive) is the largest freshwater lake in Central Europe, shallow (avarage 3 m deep) and warm in the summer (23-28 C). It is perfect for swimming and other water sport activities like windsurfing and stand up paddle (SUP). Wine tasting and dining: The mountainous region of the northern shore of Lake Balaton is a major wine region, with many small family owned wine yards. Nearly all of them offer wine tasting and fine dining. Biking& Hiking The national park where our village is located has many hiking and biking trails. Dining: There are lots of authentic restaurants and cafés in the neighbouring villages. The best way to explore the beautiful surroundings is by car or by bike.
