Höfðatún Guesthouse in South Iceland

Höfðatún Guesthouse is perfectly located 140 square meters cosy country house in Southern Iceland. It stands on 3 hectare of private land all surrounded by trees. Its about 15 minutes drive from Selfoss and around 50 minutes from Reykjavík. At Selfoss you will find everything you need, lovely swimming pool, grocery stores, health store, pharmacy, hospital, cafes and public transport. Perfect location for the Golden Circle and other gems in South Iceland. Great for groups and families The house has large fully equipped modern kitchen for 10 persons with a dishwasher. Large dining table that fits 8 persons and one toddler chair. Large living room with seat for 10 persons (one sofa bed) and big flat screen smart tv. Bedroom no.1 has king size bed. Bedroom no.2 has a queen bed and toddler bed. Bedroom no.3 has two single beds. Bedroom no. 4 has a bunk bed. One Large bathroom with both shower and a bath tub. Free internet (WI-FI). Fully equipped laundry room with washer and dryer. The guests will have the house all for themselves except the studio apartment next to it that is also rented out with Airbnb Guests can reach me by phone, text and via e-mail. I will not be present during guests stay but available if needed. By the door is a key box. All around is a farm land and you will see horses, cows and sheep. At winter time you will catch amazing Northern lights. Over all it's a magical rural landscape. The location is perfect for the Golden Circle, Gullfoss (waterfall) and Geysir (around the old Geysir are more spouting hot springs, such as the ever lively Strokkur the "butter Churn" which erupts every 3-5 minutes) Kerid, Skálholt, Laugavatn (Fontana Spa) Thingvellir (the nationalpark) Dyrholaey, Reynisfjara, Reykjadalur, Skogarfoss (waterfall) Seljalandsfoss (waterfall) Seljavallalaug, Eyjafjallajökull, Hekla, Thorsmork, Skogarfoss (waterfall) the Westman islands, day trip to the highlands of Landmannalaugar etc. Car is needed for this area. Among many other thinks you can enjoy art in museums and galleries, go fishing, golfing, hiking, take a walk in prehistoric places, parachute jumping, surfing, river rafting etc.
