The local pub, Rose & Crown is 10 min walk with great ales & pub grub. Recommended longer walk to pub via East gate 20 mins. Independent, detached annexe in a modern, spacious design. You approach through a manual five bar gate into a sweeping driveway, and parking will be on the right adjacent to the annexe. The annexe has beautiful country views with your own secluded garden & patio , seating & sunbed. This makes for a relaxing country retreat. Continental breakfast is supplied in the fridge & baskets. yoghurt, pastries, cereals, juice, cheese & biscuits, & whole fruit. We provide plenty of extra cutlery & crockery, in case you bring a take-away back. ( There is a 2nd empty mini fridge for your personal items) Three USB ports supplied in socket cube in bedroom. There are 2 convection heaters in the main room, and hot air blower in the bathroom. Hi-vis, torches and an umbrella provided for a walk to the local pub. You will find a guest manual in the room, containing accommodation info, local pubs/eateries, taxi numbers, local walks & much more. Private access with own key to detached annexe. Secluded private garden with seating/table & sun bed. Designated parking alongside annexe. Please feel free to explore the large meadow. We are available to point out places of interest, directions, and recommend pubs & restaurants etc. We will respect your privacy at all times, but please feel free to call or knock on our door any time. We will leave a basket in the room for used crockery .Please leave outside the main door, from where we can retrieve & return. Please let us know if you require any top-up breakfast items. The property stands within the lovely green and wooded area of the High Weald, an area of natural oustanding beauty. It has easy access to the historical Rye ( 6 miles). The picturesque Bodiam Castle ( 4 miles) , and Northiam with its steam train to Bodiam & Tenterden & the famous Great Dixter Gardens ( 2 miles). At the Bodiam boat station at Newenden you can take a canal boat to Bodiam or Rye, hire kayaks and rowing boats, or hire electric bikes opposite the White Hart pub . The Sussex border path run along here at the River Rother . Ancient Battle Abbey ( 7 miles) and Hastings ( 8miles) Sissinghurst and Pashley Manor are within easy driving distance too. An Amazing area to discover 1066 country. Lovely walks and drives in close proximity. The beaches of Hastings, Camber Sands and Winchlesea are also within easy reach. There are lots of local pubs offering excellent food, and in nearby Northiam you will find Will's bakery with a cafe offering light lunches and full English breakfast. (Licenced). There are local buses running every One/ two hours ( depending on time of day) from the Rose & crown pub, . (A short walk) The nearest trains run from Robertsbridge / Rye/ Ashford international station. The area is ideal for cycling and walking. You will find taxi telephone numbers in the listing House manual and bus & train timetables in the room. The main bedroom area is located on the first floor and access is via stairs from the ground floor. The shower room & toilet are on the ground floor. Due to the configuration, the annexe is not safe or suitable for guests with children.(0-12yrs). We would appreciate you removing outdoor shoes before entering main bedroom area. Complimentary slippers are provided. .....Please, no naked flame/ candles etc. There are battery operated tealights provided.
