Our holiday home is located in Durdle Door Holiday Park near the famous stone arch of Durdle Door, a UNESCO World Heritage site. It's in a great position, being one of the closest homes to the beach access path, and boasts sea glimpses from the sun deck and living room window. Featuring all mod-cons it is a really comfortable home-from-home. The park is quiet and well-maintained with a shop, restaurant, bar and play-park. Lulworth Cove, along with its pubs and restaurants are a short walk away. Our holiday home is a nearly-new static caravan, with all the features of a permanent house! The interior decor has a modern but cottage-like feel, and is designed for comfort. There is an open-plan living space that features a kitchen, dining area, and comfortable sitting area. The kitchen is fully equipped with tableware, cooking utensils, tea and coffee making facilities, kettle, toaster, large fridge freezer, microwave, oven, grill, and gas hob. The dining area has a dining table with four comfortable dining chairs. The sitting area features a coffee table and large L-shaped sofa which faces the electric fireplace and smart TV with complimentary Netflix. There is wifi and bluetooth surround sound so you can play music through the built in speakers. One of the windows has sea glimpses, and french doors open out onto the enclosed wraparound sundeck, perfect for keeping children or dogs contained. There are three bedrooms: one with a double bed and ensuite toilet, one with twin beds, and one with a single bed with space for a travel cot if required (provided free on request, please bring own bedding). All bedrooms have storage space for clothes and personal effects. There is a shower room. The holiday home is well-insulated and has gas central heating so is very cosy in the cooler months. Outside, there is parking for two cars, and an enclosed gated sundeck from which there are glimpses of the sea. There is outside seating for 6. There are two outdoor storage units, which can be used for bike or other sports equipment storage. There's also a washing line and airer for guest use. If you require the use of a travel cot or highchair please let us know. The caravan is totally yours for the time you book it, guests can also access the shared facilities at Durdle Door holiday park. We'll be contactable by mobile phone and email. We live nearby so can address any problems but will otherwise leave you to enjoy your holiday. In the unlikely event we need access we will contact you first. Guest safety during this Covid pandemic is of paramount importance to us. When cleaning I will wear gloves and mask. The caravan will be thoroughly cleaned and aired between guests with all high touch/high traffic areas cleaned and sanitised. To help us help you we would ask that bedding is stripped and left in a pile at the end of each bed at the end of your stay. Please empty bins. Durdle Door Holiday Park is a quiet, well-maintained family-run park that is in a great location. There is a play park, shop, bar and restaurant. The park sits on top of the cliffs above the world-famous Durdle Door beach. For those who are fit (the cliff paths are steep!) there are several beaches within walking distance including Durdle Door, Man O' War Bay, and St Oswald's Bay. A little further away, but still within walking distance, are Lulworth Cove and the picturesque village of West Lulworth, where a sheltered beach can be found, along with several pubs, extremely good restaurants, cafes and ice cream parlours, and a fish and chip shop. A short drive away are other attractions such as Lulworth Castle and the historic ruined village of Tyneham that was evacuated in WW2 to make room for the British Army to practice firing large artillery. The South West Coast Path is within a few hundred yards of the holiday park. Our bit of the Dorset coast offers outstanding natural beauty, fascinating history, and the opportunity to take part in almost every kind of outdoor activity, attracting many walkers, swimmers, kayakers, cyclists every year. Please be aware there is still an active Army gunnery school on the other side of the valley. Whilst we are now used to this there can be gunfire and this can include week nights and a few weekends. This also means the coast path through the military ranges can be closed. Please search for Lulworth Range firing times for further info. The nearest station is Wool, about 5 miles away, which is on the mainline from London Waterloo (approx 2 hours 45 minutes). Local taxi firms can provide transfers between Wool station and the holiday home. Visitors will get the most out of the area if they have a car or bike. There is plenty to do within walking distance of the holiday home.
