Redwood Retreat

A peaceful creek-side studio in a redwood grove. Private entrance with a own bathroom & mini-kitchen. Unit is attached to the main house but it's very private and feels like a cabin Hang out in the cozy room, in the private glen by the creek or go explore Henry Cowell Redwoods state park, Felton restaurants & tourist train. 20 min drive to ocean & Santa Cruz. Wylder Ranch state Park is pretty close too. A good Hub for exploring Monterey, Big Sur. San Francisco is close enough for a day trip. Cozy studio with a super comfy bed, private bathroom, sitting area and kitchenette with table and two nice chairs. TV (with a selection of DVD movies and Netflix & Hulu if you have an account). Very quiet and very private apartment. It's attached to the main house but on a separate level and feels like a cabin (or a treehouse some say). It faces the forest and the main house faces the street. Listen to the creek gurgle instead of traffic noise, with fresh air from the forest and a view of a forest glade. County of Santa Cruz registration certificate #CO00185 There's a little porch on your room with a nice view of the forest and a little glade to hang out or picnic - next to the creek and under the redwoods. I'll give you your privacy but if you need anything or want tips about the local sights just let me know. I'm very friendly and live just upstairs. A friendly cat lives here too but she's not allowed in your room. Corona update .... We now have an inhanced protocol for disinfecting the room and maintaining a safe space. The unit is totally separate from the residence so social distancing can be maintained. We are leaving a day or two between reservations so the unit can air out before we go in to clean and disinfect. Quite mountain neighborhood but close to Hwy 9 and the little town of Felton. Felton has a couple of great restaurants and some good take out places plus the best natural foods market. Felton Music Hall has a different musical act every night. Walk to Monte's Log Cabin - a classsic dive bar. Walking distance to Henry Cowell Redwoods state park (with a great short hike to see the giant trees) and Roaring Camp tourist train (take a train to the beach boardwalk). Short drive to Fall Creek park (great hiking) and only 15-20 minutes from eclectic downtown Santa Cruz and the beautiful beach, wharf and boardwalk. The bus depot is about 1/2 mile away. Walk to Henry Cowell Redwood State Park Microwave, toaster and hot water kettle for tea, coffee maker (coffee and tea supplied). Dishes, glasses, a couple of pots and pans plus a two burner hot plate for cooking. Hair dryer and iron too. Fresh towels and extra blankets too. Of course there's shampoo and conditioner. Movies and books of short stories to relax with. Check out menus from local restaurants and suggestions of fun things to do. I have 2 mountain bikes you can borrow (with a little notice) and a couple of yoga mats. About the price - the base price is 115 but weekends are higher and summertime peak months are Little higher too
