We are aware that some guests would like more interaction than others, so we are only too happy to help our guests if they would like more communication or advice on travel needs. We will be available by phone and live close by should any problem arise. For longer stays especially summer we might pop around to water plants in front garden. Portland boast pristine beaches, coastline, forests and national parks nearby. A walk down to Portland foreshore is relaxing. There is so much to explore - watching the boats/ships in and out of the harbour. Fishermen cleaning their catch, seals in the harbour . Winter brings the fishermen after the tuna, whale watching. Tourist tram, playgrounds, skate park Marylands is in a very quiet street and neighborhood. Perfectly situated close to town, shops, beach, boat-ramps and sports-grounds Portland Football/Cricket/Netball ground at end of the street. Hospital just a short walk so perfect if you need accomodation whilst visiting hospital. You can walk to most places around the town Only short walk to the beach, marina and the town. Tourist Cable Tram runs from Museum/Lagoon area along foreshore to Water Tower/Whale Watching area. (can hop on any stop along the way). Need a car to explore surrounding area. Taxi service in Portland. Public transport - Regular return V-Line Service (Bus to Warnambool & Train to Melbourne). Welcome to holiday with your dog/s. (well behaved ones) Please discuss arrangements on booking. ** Unfortunately and disappointingly, we are now having issues with pets that have been allowed inside, scratching paint off the doors. For us to continue providing a pet friendly property we request that all guests respect our house and never leave their pet unattended inside the house, and also bring their own clean dog bedding. We prefer dogs to be encouraged to be outside in yard most of the time. we have a garage that could be opened if inclement weather Although we always request no dogs on beds and furniture, if dogs are left unattended it is difficult to know if this has been achieved.
