Greenhill Cottage

Greenhill Cottage is a rural getaway at Greenhill, approximately 15 kms from Kyneton and one hour from the Melbourne CBD. The cottage is spacious, very private and secluded. It has its own garden and lovely views from the decking. If you are looking for a peaceful, tranquil and secluded break from the hustle and bustle of city life then Greenhill Cottage is for you. It is a fully self contained 2 bedroom cottage - one room with a King bed (with ceiling fan) and the other with a Queen bed. All linen is of high quality and pure cotton and there is an electric blanket on each bed. There are various pillow styles and the doonas are high quality goose and duck down. There is a central bathroom with a shower and separate toilet. The open plan kitchen, dining and living area overlooks the decking and BBQ area. The living room has an LCD TV, DVD, CD/Radio/Bluetooth player, a Coonarra fireplace and a split system airconditioner/heater. The kitchen is well equipped with fridge, microwave, electric stove and essential cooking utensils and crockery. Breakfast provisions are provided. Relax on comfortable seating on one of the 3 verandahs to take in the views and privacy as there are no other properties to be seen. The property is located on a 60 acre hobby farm with the main house 100 metres away from the cottage and has a lovely private garden further ensuring privacy. Enjoy watching the alpacas, sheep, chickens, native birdlife, resident kangaroos, open space and fresh air enabling you to rest and rejuvenate. The atmosphere and buzz of Piper Street, Kyneton is only 15 minutes away and offers renowned restaurants, cafes, local artisan’s produce, galleries, antiques and gifts. We are 25 minutes from Daylesford and Castlemaine and 10 minutes from the beautiful historic township of Malmsbury. Complete cottage and garden surrounds. You are also welcome to walk around the 60 acres of the property. We live in a property 100 metres from the cottage and are available should you require any information or help with anything. Picturesque rural setting with magnificent views and close proximity to famous Piper Street Kyneton. There are no other properties to be seen from the cottage - complete seclusion. The Redesdale Hotel is close by and has great pub food. Turpin and Cascade falls are only a few kilometres away. The township of Malmsbury is 10 kms away and has lots to offer - Botannical Garden, Bakery, General Store, The Stables Cafe, Small Holdings Cafe. Kyneton - 17 kms away has Piper Street, with its galleries, shops and renowned restaurants and cafes and farmers market. Daylesford and Castlemaine are only 25 kms away and Bendigo is 49 kms away. There are many wineries to visit in the area. We are secluded so a car is necessary unless you choose to stay here without transport and come to Kyneton by train and we can pick you up from the station. Should you wish to have a fire as well as the split system then wood, kindling and fire starters are provided at $15 per day, payable on arrival.
