La Maison Rose

La Maison Rose is located in a quiet village, a ten minute drive takes you to the ancient town of Malestroit, visit on Thursday, market day!, I promise, it is impossible to walk away empty handed!. La Maison Rose has been recently renovated throughout to the highest standards and decorated and furnished in a modern, yet comfortable style... In the spacious well equipped kitchen you'll find everything you could possibly need including a microwave, fridge freezer, cooker, oven, washing machine and dishwasher The large open plan lounge/dining room with its south facing aspect has comfy leather sofas with a television receiving French and UK Satellite TV channels so you'll never miss your favourite programs. There is also a downstairs shower room and toilet. Upstairs are the double and twin bedroom together with an additional toilet. The traditional oak floors are the perfect contrast to the contemporary furnishings and decor throughout La Maison Rose is a private and self contained cottage. During your stay no-one else will have access to La Maison Rose nor to its gardens. We live in the next village so we are always available should you have any questions or if you would like any information about the surrounding area. Experience real France in sunny Southern Brittany There's something for everyone; shady forest walks, magnificent chateaux, clean sandy beaches, golf, fishing, safari parks and of course the amazing food! Every Thursday the beautiful ancient town of Malestroit is host to a large regional market which fills the church square and offers huge quantities of local seafood, fresh fruit and vegetables, cheese and Breton produce. The displays are a sight to see and the smell of ripe melons, oozing camembert, cooking paella, spit roasting chickens and hot crepes makes it impossible to leave empty handed! Walking is so easy in Brittany. Forest tracks, tow paths, disused railways and specially signposted circuits..... it is all right here and we can supply a free walkers pack to help you find your way around. A short thirty minute drive takes you to the coast and the world famous Golfe du Morbihan, a huge nature reserve littered with hidden islands and dozens of white sandy beaches all waiting to be discovered. Take a short boat trip to the Ile aux Moins and explore the twisty paths and ancient buildings. Order oysters or mussels on the quay and soak up the atmosphere of a real fishing port. Restaurants. Where else in the world can you enjoy a four course lunch for €12. There is a huge choice of local restaurants all serving excellent traditional French food. You will need a car to explore this part of Southern Brittany. Parking is free in most of the smaller towns and tourist destinations. However you will need to pay for parking if you visit larger towns like Rennes or Vannes Keep in touch with the outside world with free, unlimited Wi-Fi in La Maison Rose. Bed linen and towels are provided free of charge. Heating is included in the rental from October until 1 May. Outside of these months heating is not included in the rental.
