Come enjoy our charming studio apartment just steps from the beach! You'll have complete privacy with your own separate entrance to this garden-level suite, a spacious bedroom equipped with a breakfast nook, and a serene bathroom. Newly renovated, we're excited to offer this space to beachgoers from around the world! Come visit our little sanctuary from the city. Did we mention it's a one minute walk from the beach? Long Beach is a sweet "beach city" located under an hour from Manhattan. Our cozy yet spacious studio (similar in size to a standard hotel room) is perfect for a get-away--no matter what time of year it is! Enjoy all of the amenities that you would expect from a well-equipped hotel (mini-fridge, freezer, microwave, coffee pot, etc.), plus some great extras! If you're staying during the summer, we will leave you two beach passes to use throughout your stay (admission to the beach is usually $15 per day!) as well as beach towels. Two beach chairs and an umbrella are available upon request, too. We'll also leave you a few light breakfast options (cereal, coffee, tea) to start your day off right. Feel free to drop off your things before check-in time or keep your things with us after check-out if you want to squeeze in some extra beach time. This space comfortably accommodates two guests, but up to five guests are welcome as long as you're comfortable with limited floor space. As seen in the picture, there is a permanent queen-sized bed, and we have two additional floor mattresses (real mattresses, not air mattresses) that can be brought into the space--one that is full-sized and the other that is twin-sized. Please note that taller guests may not find this space as comfortable as others find it. The ceiling height is under seven feet, and there are a couple of doors and one beam that are closer to six feet. We've had many tall people stay who've avoided bumping their heads (and the beam is lined with padding), but we always aim to be transparent. Please also note that we live upstairs above the apartment, and since the house was built in 1923 (lots of history!), you will likely hear footsteps at times. We always aim to maintain quiet hours from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM with minimal foot traffic above the apartment, but during the day there may be some pitter-patter from our toddler son. You will have full access to the apartment as well as the back patio. The apartment is three steps down from the main level of the house (a "garden apartment") and has full windows that let in an abundance of light. Up to you! We are very friendly but always busy with work, so we're happy to stay out of your way if that's what you prefer. We live right upstairs if you need anything! Beach culture, laid back and kind people, great proximity to New York City. Can't go wrong! Free street parking available (a bit limited during the evening and on weekends, but always possible!), commuter train to Manhattan located 2 miles away, local bus available a block away (which can bring you directly to the commuter train), bikes available for rent on the boardwalk.
