You Khin House has a unique architecture blending modernity and tradition. The seven rooms are named after the days of the week and each one has a unique decoration and feel. This absolutely lovely place is owned by a Cambodian non-profit organization that runs Seametrey Children's Village, a Montessori nursery/day care center and a primary school next door. It enables children of underprivileged Cambodian families to get quality education which at the same time is strongly rooted in Khmer culture. The school policy is social and cultural integration. Parents pay according to their income. Because of the fee structure, the school is partially self-sustainable. The guest house is a way to generate revenues to help sustain, improve and develop the school. Presently only Khmer teachers are paid. Foreign staff are unpaid volunteers. They come for short term, usually three months to a year. The 3-story guest house was built in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) and is located on a side street in Phnom Penh's residential neighborhood Tonle Bassac. It consists of seven tastefully decorated guest (Website hidden by Airbnb) decoration is culturally inspired yet modern and comfortable. Each room is air-conditioned and has its own bathroom. The guest house has a homely atmosphere. There is a large lounge with a snooker table and flat screen TV on the second floor. On the ground floor, there is a painting gallery, internet facilities, a small intimate restaurant and a swimming pool. A multi service desk is at your disposal to respond to your needs from sightseeings to mundane concerns like having a dress made or fixed. By staying at this guest house, you help offer underprivileged families a quality education for their children and thus help them break the vicious cycle of poverty. Guests have access to all the facilities at the guesthouse as described above - namely the swimming pool, the gallery, the communal lounge with flat screen TV, library and snooker table.
