Brookfield Retreat is a large 60's inspired sanctuary for corporates, groups, families or couples wanting to relax & chill, whilst surrounded by nature in a tranquil, private location, 15 km from the Brisbane CBD. A huge house with lots of space, equipped with pool table, bar, indoor heated spa, cinema room, pool, pergola & outside entertainment area. Suitable for quiet gatherings, workshops, wellness retreats, family’s, holidays, work trips, photoshoots , teams & group accommodation. A very large resort-style home designed for entertaining and having fun on 2.5 acres, down a quite lane. Perfect for group accommodation, corporate get togethers, product launches, quiet events, family reunions, photo shoots, writers retreat, health & wellbeing retreat, strategy meetings, workshops, training, etc. The home compromises of 6 full sized bedrooms and 1 small single room with the following configuration: 1. Bedroom 1 - master bedroom - king sized bed, TV, en-suite and adjourning parents retreat with sofa day bed (bedding provided for day bed upon request + small fee) 2. Bedroom 2 - king sized bed + fold up bed. 3. Bedroom 3 - king sized bed and day bed. 4. Bedroom 4 - double bed + fold up bed. 5. Bedroom 5 - queen bed and day bed. 6. Bedroom 6 - double bed. Bed 7. Small room with single bed up the opposite end of the house. There are 5 toilets, 3 showers, 1 toddlers bath, 2 lounge rooms, 2 inside dining tables, 2 outside dining tables, parents retreat with tub chairs and day bed, outside wicker lounge by the pool, pool, indoor heated spa, billiards table, cinema room, large pergola, laundry, carport, parking, basket ball hoop. The main bathroom is a large 60's marble bathroom with a large shower, small children's bath with overhead shower, enclosed toilet & bidet, basin, holly wood lights and 6 person heated sunken spa. As well as the main bathroom, we have a separate shower and separate toilet down the hall and off the main bathroom. The master bedroom has an en-suite with shower and toilet. There is a toilet off the kitchen and also an additional toilet in the Games Room, which makes 5 toilets in the house. The large living / lounge area has a log burning fireplace, triple and double sofa in front of the 50 inch TV, with Netflix, as well as an 8 person dining table in once corner and a piano in the other. It is possible to set up a 14 person table / whiteboard and Portable TV on trolley for training and corporate meetings. This very large living space is parallel to the veranda with double glass sliding doors opening onto the patio with 14 person dining table and chairs. The luxury modern kitchen is fully equipped with double oven, induction hob, microwave, double American style fridge with ice dispenser, kettle, toaster and everything required to enjoy your stay as if it were your own home. If you need something and you can’t find it, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will try and provide it. Off the kitchen there is access to the Laundry with a 14KG washing machine, dryer and Powder Room (toilet). The kitchen also leads to the Formal Dining area with a 6-person wooden table and the Family Room connected to dining room with TV and sofa. This area overlooks the pool. The wonderfully large retro Games Room is a separate part of the house connected by an undercover walkway. It is equipped with tournament sized billiard table (12ft), un-stocked bar, fridge/freezer, connecting cinema room and toilet and has been featured in several commercials, fashion shoots, films and music videos. Outside, past the Family Room is the pool area with outside undercover table and sofa. The pool is 3 metres deep up the deep end and offers guests hours of entertainment. There Pergola with lights, electricity and water offers yet another facet to our big old house and we have been privileged to have a few guests host an intimate wedding on the property. Finally we have the lovely gardens and an outside carport for guests to park in. We ask that all guests look after our beautiful home and keep the noise levels reasonable so as not to bother any of our wonderful neighbours. NO PARTIES! Small groups that want to enjoy a quite weekend catching up and celebrating are very welcome. Social IG brookfield_retreat Access to all rooms except garage and some cupboards. Host is on call and lives in a granny flat out the back of the 2.5 acre property. We generally don’t have interaction with guests unless assistance is required, however we are available to help with all matters small or large 24 x 7 and are just a text or call away. We hope you will consider our property and love it as much as we do! Best method of transport is by car, although we do have a bus stop about 5 minutes away from the house. The bus operates limited hours and travels direct to the City and Southbank - between $35 and $55 in an Uber to the city.
