Eco’paille : Ecological house

20 km from La Cité of Carcassonne, Eco'Paille is a nice place to chill, surrounded by nature. All equipment needed with a pool, for 2-3 people. Wood structure house and straw . Facing the Corbières, you can admire from Eco'Paille the landscape of Fajac which has something magical that invites us to reconnect with the essential, just live the moment and be happy ...The accommodation is ideal for a small family of 2-3 people (4 at the most if there is a baby) or a couple who wishes to live an authentic moment and enjoy nature, walks ... The house has all the comforts for a quiet holiday in the green. It is ecological in its design: wood and straw, but also in the choice of energies on a daily basis: the hot water is essentially solar if the weather allows it, and we made the choice of a supplier of electricity which supports to 100% green energy, heating is a wood stove and the skeptic pit is designed with plants to filter wastewater. It is the most respectful accommodation possible of its environment. All accommodation except the room with two single beds that is closed from October to May because there is no heating in. But an extra room with a double bed is open from October to end of April. We will be there to welcome you to give you the information you will need at the time of your arrival which must be between 17h and 18h30. If however we have an impediment, you will be warned and the accommodation will remain open to allow you to enter the premises of autonomous manners at the reception hours from 17h to 18h30. Fajac is a typical little village at the heart of the Corbières. The road stops there : we take the time to taste the art of living simply and in harmony with nature. Carcassonne rail station is 20 km from the cottage, so is the airport. You can rent a car from there to get to us. How to reach the gîte Eco'paille? When you are in the small village of Fajac continue on the only main road and cross the whole village to a tarmac with plane trees (there are often several cars parked there and on your left a big gray house). There you will see in front of you a sign Eco'Paille (white and green) to take the indicated direction, it is a small dirt road on 150m. You will arrive very quickly at a junction take on your left is indicated by a sign with an arrow (green). Then you arrive at a second crossing in front of a large holm oak tree, then take on your right a path along with, on the left, the wooden fence of the house and on the right a meadow with 2 donkeys. A final Eco'Paille sign indicates the entrance to the house. Welcome you are here! I ask you to empty your garbage when leaving and to put the dirty sheets and towels in a pile in the basin of linen provided for this purpose. No food should be left and garbage should be discarded before you leave..All food and waste must be discarded before departure. Please respect the property and its contents. Tourism taxe is included in the rental price Pool is open from mid-June to mid-September, the rest of the time it is closed, it is not possible to swim there At your arrival you will find on the table a welcome booklet with rules and useful information to know for the operation of the various devices present in the house.  Pool - The pool is normally open from mid-June to mid-September, depending on the weather. The supervision of the pool is under the full responsibility of the tenants. Parents are responsible for the supervision of their children in the pool area. Any child under 12 must be supervised by an adult at all times. There is no bathing supervisor. Barbecues - The cottage has a barbecue. For safety reasons the barbecue should be used where indicated. The barbecue must be cleaned before departure. Notice to smokers - it is strictly forbidden to smoke inside, for the sake of respect of the following tenants who may be non-smoker.
