Our Green cottage is located in a private setting on our property on the waterfront at Coal Point, Lake Macquarie. The lake offers a relaxing place to escape and unwind, with a morning swim or walk, fishing off the jetty, kayaking or reading a book. This is a perfect spot to bring your own boat with access to a jetty, which also provides a great place from which to fish. Kayaks can be provided for use during your stay. North east facing for spectacular sunrises. The cottage has two bedrooms, great for a family of four, as the bathroom is shared and accessed from the main bedroom. If two couples wish to holiday together, I have a separate bedroom and bathroom above the boatshed which I can let for an additional charge. Please contact me for those rates which will depend on time of year and length of stay. Situated 5 minutes from Toronto Shopping village with Woolworths, Coles, cafes and restaurants. Well positioned for exploring the Hunter Valley Vineyards or Newcastle. The cottage is situated on the waterfront of our property. Offstreet parking is available. From the car, guests will need to walk down a gravel pathway on the right hand side of our house to a flight of stairs which leads to the cottage. Please note the stairs are quite steep and may not be suitable for the elderly or very young. There is a photo showing the stairs from the bottom to give you an idea. Although I live on the same property, the cottage offers my guests complete privacy. I am available for support and to assist in any aspect of your stay. Or you can choose to be completely independent. The best coffee in town is at Cleaver cafe, and we have a little cafe in Carey Bay called The Goods which is owned by the same barista. Excellent coffee and simple wonderful food. Toronto Thai restaurant on the waterfront is great, as is the food at the Toronto Pub. On weekends, they have The Mulberry open upstairs for cocktails and tapas, with a gorgeous view of the lake. There are menus and contact details of some of the local cafes and restaurants in the guestbook. There is a Woolworths, Coles and Aldi located in Toronto Village. The closest bottle shop is in Laycock St, Carey Bay ( three minutes drive away) and has an excellent choice of wines and beer available. Please note that the fireplace in the corner of the lounge room is no longer operational. It is simply "part of the furniture". There is reverse cycle air conditioning in the cottage.
