The Bobbing Boats - House with unrivalled view.
With an unobstructed view over the estuary, this Victorian property is in a prime location in the village. It benefits from being a cul-de-sac so has no through traffic It has easy access to the beach in the harbour and further beaches a 5 minute walk away as well as the local tea room and restaurant. Within walking distance, there is Porthmadog where there are shops as well as a maritime museum and two steam railways - Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland. There are also many walks nearby. The property is fully furnished and the newly fitted kitchen (2020) is fully equipped. It is furnished in a range of styles that reflect its age and former use as a tea room. With two double rooms, one king size and one double bed, and 2 large single rooms, it can easily accommodate a family. The downstairs is split into two separate areas so families can relax in different ways at the same time. With easy access to the beaches, walks and nearby Porthmadog, you can spend the week not needing your car. You can even sit in the front garden, which is laid to patio, and watch the world and boats go by. You will have access to the whole house. We are not situated nearby. However, if there are any problems, we have a range of people we can call upon to help. Having holidayed there since I was 3, I am biased. However, I believe that Borth-y-Gest is a perfect place to visit and has local activities for all. Alternatively, if you are after a time to relax, the quiet village and local walks can also offer that. If you wanted to travel a bit further, there are a range of wonderful national trust sites including Plas Newydd near Anglesey and Bodnant Garden where they recently filmed the secret garden. We visit Bodnant Garden every year. In addition, there are numerous walks and, in the house, there is a selection of books suggesting walks. For the more adventurous, there are a range of activities including a man made surfing lake, zip wiring from mountain to mountain, mountain biking, underground slate mine tours and trampolining experiences. Yes, trampoline underground. There are walk books in the house and also a map showing the location of Aldi, Lidl and Tesco in Porthmadog. There is a station in Porthmadog - about a mile away - in case you wanted to travel along the coast. There are also two steam trains that run from Porthmadog as well as a range of bus routes.
