This room is one of 10 plush, boutique style en-suite rooms within 16/16, a dual concept boutique Airbnb and creative space that is devoted to creating space in Lagos for exchange of ideas and art. We hope to 1. connect the global traveler to the dynamic yet often overlooked creative landscape that Lagos has to offer, 2. create a safe space for artistic expression, 3. promote an environment for multidisciplinary collaborations, and 4. establish a community and its collective resources. COVID-19 message: During this tenuous period, we are doing out utmost to make sure all our spaces are properly secured and sanitized. This includes regular disinfecting protocols, compulsory mask wearing and social distance practices. Please feel free to message us with any questions regarding our COVID-19 policy. 16/16 is a dual residence and creative space concept in the heart of Lagos' bustling Victoria Island neighborhood. Our 10 rooms are spread across two floors (2nd and 8th floor), in a residential tower. This room, 303, is the queen room in flat 3 on the 2nd floor where artworks by up and coming artists in Nigeria are constantly showcased. To access this room, one has to go through our standalone "Thai Restaurant" into the guests corridor space which is only accessible by the guests with a key-card. Guests have access to both our communal spaces: a gallery and bar space on the 8th floor and our Thai restaurant, Thai Thai, on the 2nd floor. Guests can work out of both spaces, grab a drink or a bite to eat, or entertain some friends. At this period, guest will be served meal or drinks in their rooms should they order. This is to encourage social distances and to minimize social contact. The 16/16 staff and myself are available to answer any questions that you may have. Many of our guests come from interesting backgrounds and like to interact with each other. Our space is a social one, but if you like your privacy, you will still be able to access this during your stay. The Victoria Island neighborhood is a mixed commercial and residential community on the "Island"- an area of reclaimed land that has historically been an enclave of sorts. Most or all of the restaurants, supermarkets, bars, clubs and a large majority of businesses are located within this area. 16/16 is centrally located and you can access most points of interest by taking a quick car ride. Alternative means of transport include Keke Maruwa's (rickshaws) or you can also easily just walk. Uber and Bolt cars are also readily available. We can also provide car hire services, should you require this. - Don't forget your travel adaptors (same as UK plugs). - Have some cash handy for your trip. - If you would like parking, please let us know in advance so that we can organize a parking space for you.
