Brocklebank is a modern architect designed beach chalet looking directly onto Silecroft's safe sandy beach with stunning views of the Irish Sea and mesmerizing sunsets. Black Combe forms the backdrop, part of the Cumbria Lakeland Fells . Relax in total tranquillity away from the hustle and bustle of daily life in this thoughtfully and tastefully designed beach chalet. Try experiences like "Wild Outdoor Swimming", Horse Riding at Multhwaite Green in Silecroft & Cumbrian Heavy horses in Whicham. There is a double bedroom and an open plan living room / kitchen space ( which has a double sofa bed and single chair bed) . Bedroom -Sleep in the warmth off the comfortable kingsize et bed, with the patio doors closed or open you can watch the sea crashing and rolling in towards you ! There is plenty of space to hang your clothes and storage baskets under the bed for folded clothes. Living Area - Large Bi fold doors open up onto the expansive decking area to admire the majestic surroundings and gorgeous sunsets. There is a kitchen table with 2 benches which can double up as coffee tables. There is also a wall mounted TV with Freeview. A large comfortable sofa bed (Double)and chair ( single bed) are located in the living area with fantastic views of the beach. The centre piece is a real log burner fire, perfect for those cosy winter evenings. Shower Room - A large modern shower room with locally sourced ceramic tiles. Fluffy white towels are provided, not beach towels though. A chrome heated towel rail for warming up those soft towels on a chilly day. There is a storage cupboard under the sink for your toiletries and a gorgeous large authentic real driftwood mirror. Kitchen - There is a modern galley style fully equipped kitchen with everything you could possibly need - slimline dishwasher, eye level microwave, single oven with grill, undercounter refrigerator with freezer box compartment and a Washing Machine/Tumble dryer. In addition there is a clothes airer in the storage cupboard which is also a convenient space for coats, shoes and boots. External - Brocklebank boasts two patio doors ; one form the bedroom onto the decking area and the other being a fully extending bi fold door opening the whole beach chalet living area up onto the large decking and grassed lawn area, which brings the “Outside Inside". There is a comfortable 5 piece patio furniture set to relax on a sunny day or around the Indian Fire Pit on balmy or chilly evening( you can also cook on it) alternatively cook on the Weber coal barbecue. Sun bath using the collapsible sun loungers in peaceful tranquility, then in the evening watch the glittery starry formations from inside or outside the chalet. You may spot a shooting star! Guests get the whole of the property. We live down the road so if there are any problems or queries we can be there in 5 minutes however we like to leave our guests to have their own space and to enjoy their holiday without us pestering them. We can always be around if asked to be though. Silecroft's glorious beach attracts all year round visitors to its unspoilt endless safe sandy beach. The beach features on the opening credits of Countryfile in a clip of horses galloping through the surf at low tide. Black Combe is the mountain which forms the backdrop for our idyllic, unique romantic getaway spot. A bracing 2-hour climb up Black Combe is rewarded with far reaching views as far as Wales, Scotland and the Isle of Man. Silecroft Golf Club is 1 mins walk along the road from Brocklebank. Visitors are welcome for payment of a small green fee via the honesty box! They now also offer footgolf at the club. Explore the nearby Duddon Valley, Muncaster Castle with its famous Owls sanctuary or perhaps the Ravensglass to Eskdale small gauge steam railway know locally as “The Ratty ". Experiences like Wild Outdoor Swimming - lessons from "Swim The Lakes in Ambleside". Experience Cumbrian Heavy Horses in the Whicham Valley -riding on our beach or through the Fells can be booked. Multhwaite Green riding stables at the top of the road also offers this. Whether you want a relaxing/romantic getaway break or an action packed break, walking, mountain climbing, swimming,rock pooling,sea surfing, sand surfing, golfing or horse riding - Silecroft delivers . Brocklebank can accommodate Main High Street Grocery deliveries to your door. Silecroft Railway Station is a 2 minute drive / 10 minute walk and enables day trips along the West Cumbrian Coast if you don’t fancy taking the car. The nearest Lakes are Wastwater and Coniston both around 30 mins drive away. Being situated in the Lake District National Park all the other famous lakes are all easily accessible for day trips from the property. There is an excellent village pub called The Miners Arms which is around a 10 minute walk. It serves good traditional pub food and ales if you don't feel like cooking. Booking is essential in the summer. There are plenty of other pubs, coffee shops and restaurants to choose from which are a short drive away. A welcome pack manual will also be sent and will be in hard copy in Brocklebank. Please bring your own beach towels, personal toiletries and kitchen condiments. WIFI along with mobile Bluetooth speaker for guest use. Plentiful logs to hand with requests taken for more. Indian Fire Pit takes wood logs and charcoal (not household coal). Main High Street Grocery Deliveries can be accommodated at Brocklebank.
