Lakeside Hideaway
The Hideaway is a very unique little cabin which is a bit back to basics with a few treats thrown in. You have your own private fenced off area containing a BBQ/firepit. Inside you will find a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, a toaster, a wonderful log burning stove and even a complimentary bottle of Prosecco to welcome you. ONE well behaved SMALL dog can stay too in the little 7ft x 11ft cabin. (certain rules apply, please message us to discuss). Situated in the beautiful village of Lothersdale, Lakeside Hideaway is a glamping cabin at Raygill Lakes. A wonderful escape from reality, perfect for a couple's mini break or maybe a writer's or artist's retreat, its very peaceful. There is a Bar on site if you want a drink but remember to bring food supplies with you. We are dog friendly. 1 well behaved SMALL pooch welcome (it isnt big enough for a large dog). There's even a bed for your dog unless you want to bring their own. You’ll get a complimentary bottle of fizz and nibbles on arrival. The toilets and the shower/washroom (although separate) are both a 50 metre walk away from The Hideaway at the lodge. As it’s a glamping cabin we provide means to cook with, a log burning fire with stove top and mini oven and an outdoor bbq/firepit, we also have a kettle and toaster in the cabin along with utensils, cutlery, glassware and mugs. We recommend bringing your own wash towels and toiletries and, as there is no running water in the Hideaway we will supply you with bottled water for drinking for your stay and there is a washing up sink at the lodge. You have a key for the toilet/wash facilities which you can access any time during your stay. Bring your fishing tackle and have a go whilst you're here. There's a fishing peg included at the Hideaway (rules apply). Lothersdale/Raygill has no mobile phone signal but WiFi is now available at The Hideaway (fingers crossed). It is a truly unique accommodation that we are sure you will love. Raygill is a beautiful place to take a walk, we have fishing lakes here and the scenery is breathtaking. It's lovely to wakeup to the birds singing but the ducks can be a little quackers in a morning. Ask us aboutRaygill, it's a very interesting place. The fishery Lodge is open from 9.30am till dusk every day and there is always someone on hand to help you with any concerns you may have. Also the owners only live 500m away. Raygill is a very important area of geological interest. It is an old limestone quarry dating back to the 1700s that has been tended to and cared for by its latest owners for the last 37 years and now it is an area of natural beauty and the wildlife is abundant. The Lakeside Bar is in the Fishery Lodge just a short walk away from you if you want a drink Fri from 5pm, Sat, Sun 12 till late (not always food available, please check) but if you fancy a stroll into the village 1 mile away you will find The Hare and Hounds pub. They serve good ales and food all day, every day. Please note... The nearest shop is 5 miles, away in Crosshills (if you need supplies for your stay) the Chinese there delivers to Raygill. There is no public transport in Lothersdale but you are only a 15 minute drive from the bustling market town of Skipton with its many shops, restaurants and pubs. Taxis know where we are and can be arranged for you. Takeaways here deliver to us too. Are you bringing a dog? We always ask that dogs are kept off the bed but as the cabin only 7ft x 11ft a dog is likely to jump up so we ask that you bring your own bedding and covers to prevent spoiling our bedding. You will need to bring tea towels. Also, please be aware there is no mobile phone signal, running water or toilet at The Hideaway and wifi is limited but all are available at the Fishery Lodge 50m away.
