Our 4th-generation country house is a high-quality building with a commanding view over green rolling hills and the coast. It is a prime spot to enjoy our region's beaches, nearby mountains, UNESCO Heritage spots and gastronomy. A place to relax and enjoy, and yet close to the action. Bedding, towels, kitchen utensils, cutlery and crokery are all provided. The house is suitable for up to six people in total. The entire building is partitioned in two independent properties: the 3-bedroom property being let, and a separate property reserved for our personal use. You will have complete privacy and you will not have to share any room or facility. We are close by if you have any questions but we will respect your well-deserved holidays by leaving you well alone to enjoy. The area offers a rural view over green prairies and forested hills, next to the sandy beaches. It is a well-known retreat for city-dwellers looking for a quiet and green corner. The area is well-served, enjoys superb beaches and it is 20 minutes' drive from the capital city of Santander. For those wanting to visit neighbouring regions, the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao is 45 minutes' drive through a motorway with arguably one of the best views in Europe. For those of more sporty disposition or wanting to try new things, we know very good surfing schools managed by real surfers, and we can put you in touch with them. All ages and all levels of fitness are welcome. if you are more into art and culture, this corner of Europe holds a collection of humans' earliest manifestations considered as art, stretching back to over 35,000 years, according to UNESCO. We also have interesting museums, concerts and a host of local festivities in the neighbouring city Santander (population 175,000). Families with children are spoilt for choice: clean beaches, sailing, surfing, drive-by zoo, hiking, superb sceneries in unspoilt locations, healthy food, a child-friendly culture and quiet accommodation to ensure a good night's sleep, to parents as well as children.
