You’ll really enjoy Labarthe: our views, the location, the Duras Chateau, the superking sized double beds, one of our two BB rooms can accommodate an additional single bed if required. Labarthe is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). All our guest rooms are en-suite, three rooms have Super King Beds and one room has a King size bed. One room is available as a twin but can also accommodate an additional single bed. Both rooms have tea and coffee facilities, a fan, heating, hairdryer and English TV. Guests are very welcome to share our garden and use our pool. We have plenty of chairs/loungers to sit and relax, read or just enjoy the fantastic views. Tea or coffee (& wine !!) is also available in the sitting room/garden. We are generally around to take care of your requirements or to assist with directions or any questions you may have. Positioned between the Garonne and Dordogne Rivers we enjoy a lovely climate, generally always between 5 & 10c better than the UK ! But also means there are plenty of Canoe facilities and also organised trips along the river. Being Rural France public transport is non existent, however, just twenty minutes away there are Train stations that will take you to Bordeaux, Bergerac, Agen, Toulouse and beyond. You are advised that a car is the best way of getting around. Taxi services are rare Labarthe is situated right at the top left hand corner of the Lot et Garonne, the Dordogne and Garonne borders are just a few minutes away giving you easy access to Bergerac and Bordeaux airport. We are surrounding by Vineyards - Cote de Duras, should you find time Bordeaux and Bergerac are within a few minutes from Labarthe and beautiful St Emilion just a forty minute drive. Cycling and walking is also a very popular pastime in France and we can print off a number of routes of varying distances. Alternatively, a casual walk around our immediate area takes 40-60 minutes (on foot!). We’re also just a short trip from the famous Plum Village, a monastery and Buddhist practice centre founded in 1982 by Vietnamese Zen-master Thich Nhat Hanh.
