Every day nature puts on a show and you are invited to participate in a way that even when the doors are shut you are not shut out. Your PurePod is total surround glass – that's right even the roof! The Greystone PurePod is set high above the award-winning Greystone vineyard, less than an hour north of Christchurch, right in the heart of the Waipara Valley wine-producing region. The first thing you'll notice about your PurePod is its heavenly and private location. The walk from your car sets the tone for your secluded getaway, taking you through regenerating bush and even distinctive cabbage trees. As you wind your way out of the bush, views of the Teviotdale Hills, Waipara Valley, and the Greystone Winery unfold around you. Your cabin sits high above a hill, offering picture-perfect views over the vine-laced vineyard and of the region. Each glass eco-cabin is designed to ensure you experience nature's show vividly. Better still, your PurePod is luxurious, warm and immaculately styled. The PurePod is totally self-contained with cooking facilities, a toilet, an extraordinary shower (all glass), crockery, games, and acres and acres of privacy. An optional add-on dinner & breakfast package can be purchased after booking, or you can bring your own supplies. It's an unforgettable New Zealand experience that enables you to connect with nature and that special someone. The walk from your secure carpark sets the tone for your secluded overnight escape and will take you around 15 minutes. Because we are providing privacy and isolation in a spectacular space - you are on your own. There is a 10 minute walk through regenerating native bush to find the PurePod. With the Teviotdale Hills behind and views up the Waipara Valley across to the Southern Alps, the Greystone PurePod provides a beautiful setting for you to immerse yourself in your own private slice of the New Zealand landscape. The Waipara region is one of New Zealand’s premier wine growing regions. It is full of stunning scenery, award-winning wineries, scenic walkways and a number of great food producers, including world-class black truffles, and olives. There is even a 25km scenic railway using historic steam and diesel locomotives as well as an outdoor art gallery located in a disused quarry. Whether you want to spend a couple of days relaxing at the PurePod itself, or venture out to the nearby walking & cycle trails, or explore the local wineries, there is bound to be more than enough to keep you occupied during your stay! The Greystone PurePod is set less than an hour north of Christchurch, right in the heart of the Waipara Valley wine-producing region. If you prefer not to self-drive, let us know and we can put you in contact with a private driver who provides a door-to-door service as well as additional sightseeing options. You will need to carry your gear on foot to access your accommodation. For those of you with mobility issues – we can provide alternative instructions for the PurePod, which will enable you to drive pretty much right up to the PurePod, and this is the only PurePod location without steps to access the PurePod.
