Just 15 minutes from downtown Mudgee and four hours from Sydney, we offer a popular yet unique rural escape, where you can truly slow down and switch off! Offering the best of Mudgee rural seclusion, River Ranch combines unique ranch art, antiques and old wares with contemporary finishes and modern conveniences. A striking exterior with barn doors and timber shutters framed by lush landscapes welcomes guests inside. A luxurious farmhouse kitchen is well-equipped with everything you’d need to cook at home including a fridge, freezer, microwave stove, oven, toaster, espresso coffee maker and blender. Open plan living allows you to flow from the kitchen into the lounge room with a wood burning fireplace, air conditioning and rustic decor, plus a pool table for entertainment. The dining area boasts barnyard doors which open up to reveal valley views that surround the property. Outside, a wrap-around verandah overlooks the picturesque Riverlea valley. Fire up the BBQ and dine on the large deck under the festoon lights, or enjoy a wine and cheese plate around the fire pit. There is also a separate fire pit area complete with a full camp kitchen for those wanting to cook over open flames. Upstairs in the loft, rest easy in one of the four plush bedrooms with exposed timber beams. Three bedrooms offer queen beds, while the fourth bedroom has two singles. The master features a canopy bed draped with luxurious netting. Towels and linen are provided for your stay. There is also a lounge and TV area upstairs to unwind. There is one generously sized bathroom inside with a clawfoot bathtub and separate shower and toilet, plus a second external toilet with sink. Provided are picnic baskets, rugs, and a property map to explore all adventurous spots of the Ranch. During your stay, you and your group will have the entire farm stay to yourself. Please make yourself at home! There are two separate river frontage access points to your own slice of exclusive river frontage. At River Ranch, you will have complete privacy (with the exception of local wildlife such as kangaroos, wombats, parrots). You will drive approximately 5 minutes of dirt road before arriving at The Ranch. When you aren’t out enjoying the rolling hills and wildlife such as wombats, kangaroos and stunning range of birds, book a wine tour and travel to some of Mudgee’s best cellars including the nearby Skimstone and Logan Wines. If you’re up for a short drive, check out Mudgee Museum & Historical Society bursting with early artefacts on a wide variety of subjects or taste test some honey and shop a selection of products at Mudgee Honey Haven. Please note, the wifi is a weak/satellite nbn service only - please don’t expect to stream data during your stay, we recommend a digital detox instead, or that guests download offline any movies/shows they plan to watch on their own devices before arriving at our property. No motor bikes, quads or dirt bikes to be rode on our property, out of respect for our neighbours, animals and insurance purposes.
