Your spacious apartment is right over the sand looking North over the beautiful lagoon. From the pristine sandy beach on the East, through the rainforest, to the broadwater on the West, this huge eco-resort should be on your bucket list. This must be the easiest island to get to that leaves you feeling you have left the crazy world far behind. From your balcony over the sand you can sip your favourite drink as you watch the fish jump in the lagoon & the wallabies wander past... THE RESORT WILL BE CHECKING AS YOU BOARD THE FERRY. Your apartment is in the Couran Cove Island Resort which, as of late (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) , has undergone a complete refurbishement. Remember - even though you are booking through private owners, you have the same access to all resort facilities like any other guest! Unfortunately, since the COVID pandemic, there has been a reduction in services provided by the resort, so the restaurants are currently only open Friday - Sunday. So if you are staying during the week, bring your own groceries and use the cooking facilities in the unit. Also, the phone is no longer manned at reception, and the only way to contact staff is via email, or by walking to reception to talk to them. Reception hours may also be limited at the moment. This is a spacious, air-conditioned unit that has its own kitchenette - double gas stovetop, microwave and 3/4 size fridge. You will be pleasantly surprised by the huge double sink marble bathroom with its separate full-size bath for relaxing - after a hard day walking the beach or lounging by the pool! It is such a huge resort with much to explore that you need your own bikes to get around. If you were staying through the Couran Cove Island Resort, this would cost extra, but we include bikes that could otherwise cost you more than 20% of your accommodation to hire! The following facilities and activities are available: - 25m lap infinity pool (refurbished in Sept (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) - children’s pool (refurbished in Sept (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) - children’s playgrounds and gym - tennis and squash courts (refurbished in Sept (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) - kayaking - giant chess board - BBQ’s in the Broadwater picnic area On top of all this there are many lovely walks including the beautiful rainforest boardwalk and lookout. Then there are the running/walking/cycling tracks. And then there's the fishing - you have the broadwater on one side and the ocean on the other. Please note that we also own the larger adjacent unit - that has an interconnecting door - in the event that you would like to accommodate a larger group. (It is called 'Your Island Escape Apartment' and has the same photo - as they are side by side with the same view.) While you will have the place to yourselves, we will be at the end of the phone should any problems arise. When wallabies feel free to wander past your balcony over the sand, you know you are in the right place to relax amongst mother nature! The only way to the island is by ferry or water taxi from Hope Harbour on the Gold Coast. Transfers are readily available from Coolangatta airport. Once you are on the island, as no vehicles are allowed in the National Park, the only way around is on foot or bicycle. Fortunately, we supply bikes as they are not cheap to hire. Once you make your booking we will email you all the information you will need about booking ferries, or a berth if you choose to come by your own boat. Security services are in place through-out this huge resort - it spans the island from the surf beach to the broadwater - including the modern, world class marina. Please note a booking for 2 people assumes a couple is sharing the king-sized bed and is priced accordingly. If you are not sharing the bed and require linen for the sofa bed, an extra cost will apply as we will need to pay Couran Cove resort for the extra linen.
