ArtPartment - artistic home with a beautiful view

Our house lies on a hill surrounded by the mountains in a small peaceful village, just 3 km away from Lake Bohinj. This place is one of the world's pearls, perfect for travellers who love nature and the peace of mountains. We arranged the upper floor of our house into a cozy home for travellers. Our idea was to make this apartment something special so we invited artists and craftsmen to participate. We also connected with the locals and can help our guests get the most out of their journey. The apartment has 60 m2. It has two rooms with private balconies, a kitchen with all necessities for cooking, a private bathroom and a small storage room. You can also use the garden, which backs onto a spectacular view of the woods and mountains, where you can relax and enjoy, read a book, engage in a wide variety of activities or have a picnic (we have a barbeque you can use). If you have bicycles, a canoe or some other larger object, you can store them safely in the garage. A lot of woodwork in the apartment was handmade by our son, Izak, who is a woodworking artist. The pottery is handmade by our friend and the unique photographs were all taken by our daughter, Ilona, who is studying photography in Rotterdam. -FREE WiFi- -FREE PARKING- -PET FRIENDLY- THE APARTMENT: *BEDROOM - 1 Double bed - Closet - Private balcony - Laptop friendly space - Extra pillows and blankets *LIVING ROOM - 1 Single bed - 1 Expandable sofa (which transforms into a bed for 2 people) - TV - Library - Private balcony *KITCHEN - Stove and oven - Refrigerator - Cooking basics (pots, pans, utensils, oil, salt and pepper) - Dishes and silverware - Dining table - Cleaning necessities *BATHROOM - Sink - Toilet - Shower - Bidet *STORAGE ROOM - Extra toilet paper - Cleaning necessities - Room for storage *The entire upper floor of the house (an independent private apartment) *The garden behind the house, where you can sit down, relax and enjoy the view or even have a picnic (we have a barbeque you can use) *Use of the garage for storage *There is a washing machine in the house and if you need to use it don't hesitate to ask us -FREE PARKING IN FRONT OF THE HOUSE- If you will need two parking spaces, please let us know before your arrival -LANGUAGE- English, German, Slovenian -CHECK IN- Check in begins at 2 P.M. If you would like to arrive before that, please let us know in advance. -CHECK OUT- Check out is before 11 A.M. If you need, we can store your luggage until your departure. When you arrive we will be there to greet you, give you the keys and show you around the house. We don't live in the house, but we spend a lot of our time there. If you are in need of our assistance and we are available 24 hours a day via mobile phone. The location offers endless possibilities for activity and relaxation. You can go for walks and bike rides on numerous trails, or take a swim in the lake, engage in kayaking, SUP (stand-up paddleboard) riding, canoeing, paragliding, horseback riding, mountain climbing, and there is also a water park for rainy days. There are scores of beautiful natural attractions to visit like waterfalls, streams and rivers, and dramatic viewpoints over the lake. In the winter you can ski at Slovenia's highest ski resort, Vogel, which overlooks the lake below. Our apartment is just 25 kilometers away from world-famous Lake Bled, which offers a very different experience to the wild Romanticism of Lake Bohinj and is well worth a visit. We have rich culture that you can explore, from food to handcrafts. There is no way to be bored in Bohinj valley. - Travel by bus, car or taxi - Bus stop is 15 minutes away from the house - Lake Bohinj is only 3 km away (5 minutes by car or around 45 minutes on foot, on a beautiful path in the woods) - The bus from Ljubljana to Bohinj, or the other way around, goes once every hour. On the way to Slovenia's capital Ljubljana it passes Lake Bled, Radovljica and Kranj which are also nice places to visit - There are plenty of well marked walking routes to the nearby sights around the house -TOURISM TAX- In Slovenia it is common to pay a tourist tax. Currently the tax in Bohinj is 1,27€/day. For children 7-18 years old, the tax is 0,64€/day. Children under the age of 7 are tax free. TAX IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE AND IS PAYED UPON ARRIVAL.
