Set in a peaceful spot in the Tuscan countryside, it's perfect for relaxing and sightseeing. It’s also a quick hop by car on the A1 motorway to the designer factory outlets, where you can snap up a bargain from top fashion houses including Prada and Gucci. This is just the kind of place where discerning fashionistas can retreat behind their shades on the sun terrace by the large private pool or sipping a glass of wine in the shade of the pergola. It’s a good choice, too, for a family with young children, who will value the stress-free one-level living, a private pool that has been thoughtfully fenced in, and vast gardens for little legs to frolic in. The village of Cavriglia is within easy walking distance, a pleasant place to rub shoulders with the locals. It’s also the gateway to Chianti, offering a great base for wine lovers who wish to enjoy a thorough exploration of these world-famous vineyards. Bathroom Shower, bidet, sink, WC, washing machine. Our Thoughts This apartment scores highly because it’s so handy for both the designer outlet stores, as well as the wineries in Chianti. Florence is an easy day trip, too. We especially like the bright and friendly aspect of this apartment, with its bold colour scheme and roomy living spaces. It’s definitely a favourite with young families, who love having a luxurious pool – and the peace of mind that it’s fenced in. Notes Two bedrooms, one bathroom. A fifth person can be accommodated on a fold-away bed in the twin bedroom. The owners – a couple and their adult daughter – live in the apartment upstairs. It is a peaceful spot, but some traffic can be heard. The owners have their own separate entrance, driveway and garden. They also own two large friendly dogs. The owners kindly request that no one feed the dogs. Pool The pool is completely fenced and its terrace is well furnished, with sunloungers, parasols and a covered pergola with a table and chairs. The water is accessed via internal steps. There is a shower poolside and there is also a poolroom with WC, sink & shower under the pool. Pool maintenance is carried out at about 8pm every day, please inform the keyholder on arrival if you wish to use the pool after this time in the evenings. The owners sometimes use the pool but are sensitive to the wishes of their guests. Pool size: 6x12m, 1.2-1.7m deep. Open May through September, weather permitting. The pool is approximately 40 metres from the villa.
