The Old Bakery is a newly renovated cottage which is comfortable, light and airy. It has a pretty courtyard garden and its own parking space. Wells has many fab restaurants, cafes, independent shops and a wealth of historical places of interest. All of which are on your doorstep at The Old Bakery! Many other amenities are close by, such as Glastonbury Abbey and Tor, Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, and the cities of Bath and Bristol. Sleeps six guests. Three double bedrooms (1 x King, 1 x Double, 1 x Twin). One bathroom and one shower room (both on first floor) Enclosed pretty courtyard garden. Designated parking space for one medium-sized car. WiFi. Sorry, no pets. Minimum stay two nights. 3 night minimum stay for Bank Holiday weekends. GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL 2022 - minimum 3 night stay Additional features Fabulous location, central to all Wells has to offer. Well equipped kitchen with hob, electric oven and fridge/freezer. Microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Wells has the most stunning cathedral and Bishops Palace and Gardens to visit. There is a thriving twice weekly farmers' market selling a wide variety of local produce (Wednesdays and Saturdays). There is a vast array of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. The cities of Bath and Bristol are within easy reach. There is plenty to do in both with an array of shopping outlets, boutiques, cafes and restaurants as well as the famous sites of Bath such as The Roman Baths, Pump Rooms and the Royal Crescent. Take a trip to the caves of Wookey Hole or Cheddar Gorge, both a must-see! Within a short driving distance, other places to explore include Glastonbury Tor and Abbey whilst the Mendip Hills and Somerset Levels offer a fantastic range of walking opportunities and plenty of wonderful pubs to visit. A little further away is Fleet Air Arm Museum (Yeovilton) and Haynes Motor Museum (Sparkford). There is Clarks Outlet Shopping Village (Street) and Kilver Court and Gardens (Shepton Mallet), both of which are approximately a fifteen minute drive away . The vibrant town of Frome is within 25 mins by car. The world famous Longleat Safari park is 40 mins from Wells. Hauser and Wirth art gallery and The Newt country estate are close by to Bruton and within 30 mins. Castle Cary railway station is 20 mins from Wells which provides a direct mainline service to London Paddington.
