Comfortable family house with 2 en-suite double bedrooms, 2 further doubles sharing family bathroom. Great views with sunny, south facing conservatory and garden. Central for walking, cycling, touring Devon and 50 mins from north Cornish coast. Belstone is a friendly Dartmoor village with pub, river, ponies and sheep! The house is comfortable for 8 adults, but there is also scope for accommodating extra children in a fifth bedroom. Belstone is an ideal village for families as it is safe, quiet and full of magic for children, with roaming animals and the beautiful River Taw to splash and swim in just a few minutes walk from the house. Our guests have access to the whole house, which is for them alone, without needing to share any amenities. We are always happy to chat with guests and advise them about local walks, cycle rides, places to eat and transportation. Dartmoor National Park is one of the UK's last wildernesses and Belstone is the perfect place from which to experience the moor. Be careful to shut the gate or sheep, ponies with their foals or cattle could just wander into the garden! Our neighbours are friendly, helpful and always ready to stop for a chat. Life runs at its own moorland pace here and the air is so pure you are guaranteed an excellent night's sleep! Public transport is limited but there is a bus service from Exeter which stops just a mile and a half out of the village. Taxis are always an option. However, if you are keen walkers then there are enough walks directly from the house to keep you busy for at least a week. The local pub has an extensive menu, so no need to drive! And Waitrose deliver!
