Bed/Bath near Union Station
You will stay in your own bedroom (with brand new furniture) and have your own bathroom as part of a two-bedroom condo in Eckington, one of DC's quieter but extremely accessible neighborhoods. You will also have rooftop and gym access. I live in a 2-bedroom condo in a building that was entirely renovated in 2012. Everything in the condo is new, from appliances to furniture to flooring. I live in the first bedroom, and you would stay in the second bedroom, which has a full-sized bed and other furniture purchased in 2014. In addition, you would have your own full bathroom and closet. As part of staying here, you would have complete access to the kitchen/living room area, washer/dryer in-unit, as well as the rooftop and gym area open to all residents of the building. Your space Spacious, with a full-size bed, night table and chest Memory-foam mattress (along with clean sheets) Additional full-size air mattress with clean sheets if more guests would like to stay (up to 4) Closet with hangers Two large windows looking onto W Street Full bathroom with clean towels The space is extremely clean and tidy Shared space Full kitchen, including stove, oven, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, and wine cooler Dining room table with seating for 6 Sofa and large chair for relaxation Television with over 100 cable channels and HBO Free wireless internet Large rooftop with seating Central A/C Free gym with treadmill, elliptical, bike and weight machine Guests have access to the common space, their bedroom, their bathroom, as well as the gym and rooftop. Unfortunately, though I wish I could give tours of DC year-round, I have a full-time job, so you have to make do on your own. I will provide a list of attractions to see/do along with my opinions on the best of those. I will also provide a list of my favorite restaurants, bars, parks, etc. upon your arrival to the District of Columbia. Eckington is a quiet but extremely friendly neighborhood. It is not Dupont, Logan or Georgetown, but it provides breathtaking views of the Capitol and Catholic University as well as easy access to every area in the city. There are some shops and restaurants within a five-minute walk, such as Thai, Italian/Pizza, BBQ, and Chipotle, as well as a number of chic bars. The neighborhood is generally quiet and has a number of convenience stores, gas stations, etc. in the immediately vicinity. Access to DC The condo is a five-minute walk from the Rhode Island Avenue Metro station on the Red Line, just two stops from Union Station. The Red Line grants you access to the entire DC Metro area, from Reagan National Airport (DCA) as well as the new Silver Line, which can get you close to Dulles Airport. BWI is accessible via MARC, which you can pick up at Union Station. There is Capital Bikeshare directly outside the building, and biking to U Street, Logan, Dupont or Capitol Hill takes no longer than 15 minutes. There is free street parking on Rhode Island Ave NE, 4th St NE and W St NE (with my visitor pass). Bus lines are readily available to take you across the city. The area is served by taxis and Ubers 24/7.
