Our tranquil inn is 4 min from Pemuteran beach. Hear soft ocean waves from the tropical garden, enjoy your room's cold A/C and your open-air bathroom, go snorkeling or diving at Menjangan Island. Restaurants & mini markets within walking distance. Mango Tree Inn is located in a mango grove near the sea, and the ocean sounds can be softly heard from your room. The room is very clean, set in a tranquil garden, with a paranomic mountain view background. The location is in the heart of Pemuteran, as we are within walking distance of many mini markets and restaurants (The best pizza place in Bali? It's just a 2-minute walk from the room) and the beach (a 4-minute walk away) is excellent for swimming and snorkeling. Breakfast is provided during your stay and is mostly made with ingredients from local farmers. And you're welcome to come to our house to refill your water bottles with filtered water from the local temple. Please note that there is a Rp 10,000 per day per person charge for this. Your room has air conditioning and hot showers. The artistic private bathroom is open-air with a bamboo shower, natural stone sink and walls, ceramic floor, towel hooks, generous sized towels, soap, plants along inside wall, and an outside frangipani tree view. The sink's counter top was created from one of our mango trees that was sacrificed for the Inn's building. And the light on your terrace? Recycled wood from a forest tree who's life was taken from termites. We use low-wattage light bulbs and energy-efficient water heaters. We collect cans and bottles and give them to a local person who resells them for money. Our roof was built from coconut wood, a sustainable and fast-growing material, and our fence is from the very sustainable bamboo. Towels are washed with natural, locally made laundry soap and are dried using the sun, not an electric dryer. The bathroom soap supplied to you is locally crafted from natural ingredients, and is mango scented :) And...all food scraps are given to the neighbor's chickens. The room itself is furnished with king-size bed (or 2 twins) with fresh sheets and mattress pad/protector (something many small places here don't have), 2 bedside tables, mosquito net, 2 locally carved reading lights, closet with hangers and hanging space, personal safety deposit box, air conditioning, desk/table and chairs, clothes drying rack, umbrella if needed, and gorgeous walls finished with sand...giving an elegantly natural look. The tropical garden has various plants and flowers, trees, fountain with fish, and Mango Trees of course! Free WiFi is also included in the room price, and is available inside your room or on your private terrace. Free parking on the premises is included. Children are welcome also! Your hosts would love to take you on local cultural tours (surcharge to help cover time, gas, etc) Services... Room service Car hire Bicycle Rental Motorbike Rental Shuttle service (surcharge) Airport shuttle (surcharge) Tour desk Luggage storage Laundry service (surcharge) Daily housekeeping Safety deposit box in room Our house is located on the grounds and has an upstairs open balcony. You are welcome to come up and view the extraordinary mountain views and listen to the ocean sounds (depending on the season, sometimes the ocean is very calm and quiet). While you won't have a kitchen, there are plenty of delicious restaurants within walking distance, and even places that will deliver to our Inn. In the area, we have snorkeling, diving, hiking, Pemuteran waterfall, traditional market tours, handicrafts, fishing, cycling, horseback riding, and Balinese massage. Menjangan Island is 20 minutes away, and the West Bali National Park is slightly farther away. We'd be very happy to help arrange diving, snorkeling, and trekking for you, with pickup right in front of your room! Chok will give you some tips if you want to hike from Mango Tree Inn, as there's a great temple nearby where you can watch the sunset by the sea. If you have a motorbike or want to rent one, there's lots of exploring you can do, just ask us for where to go and what to see. We love our awesome guests and would love to talk with you and help you with whatever you need. You are welcome to come hang out at our house and drink some tea, if you wish. Or maybe you just want some quiet solo time? Either way is totally fine with us. Fun Fact...the short walk from hotel to house is lined with Neem trees! In our house, we have a small library of books left behind from previous guests, so please ask us if you'd like to borrow some novels. The owner has previously spent 8 years abroad and speaks great English. He created Mango Tree Inn because he loves talking with and meeting people from around the world! We are a short walk away from the beach, close to Biorock and turtle hatchery. You can walk to whatever you need. Along the main road are reasonably priced restaurants, plus mini markets, spas, and dive shops. There are also bars (live music Friday nights) and ATM machines. Along the beach, there are additional restaurants. On Saturday nights, you can hear the gamalan playing for traditional dancers...ask if you'd like to watch. It's at a restaurant by the beach and we'd be happy to guide the way. Enjoy the cozy traditional Balinese village of Pemuteran, without any hawkers or hassling sellers disturbing you. If you want the experience of real Balinese village living, this place is for you. On the main road, which is about a 2-minute walk away, you can catch the public bus (bemo). Private driver or shuttle available upon request. Ask us for a bicycle to go around or rent a scooter. Free parking always available. Need assistance with transportation to our place? Please ask before your arrival, and we'll arrange it! You are always welcome to borrow the following (based on availability)... beach towels wash cloths/face cloths extra pillow blanket fan reading light novels left behind from other guests playing cards electric kettle mugs/cups beer glasses power strip use of our personal refrigerator for small items Just let us know if you want to borrow any of the above items! While we don't have a private washing machine for you to use, we'd be very happy to send your clothes to our laundry service. They'll come back ironed and smelling divine! Breakfast is always included in your room rate. If you are staying a month or more, we will supply an electric kettle, filtered water, and toilettes such as shampoo, soap, and mosquito repellant.
